In summer there is a little caravan that offers great food (including mussel fritters!). It is very basic, however the food is tasty and the view is even better when eating in right on the beach. The little shop at the entrance also sells ice cream if you want dessert

Great little beach with a kids playground, small shop that does coffee and ice cream and a wonderful walk that takes you to see a giant kauri tree. Food trucks operate in summer and it is a great place to watch the sun set

long bay motorcamp has canoes for hire and an amazing food caravan called the Shag Shack. It has a nice beach with flat water ideal for the kids ( and adults) there is a popular one hour walk that passes a large kauri tree. best walk in town
