Great farm for all ages and has Jimmys fabulous restaurant on site. He lives there so you often catch a glimpse of him or his best mate Jamie Oliver.

“A 15 minute drive from Peasenhall is Mid Anglia's newest Community Pub. Also popularly known as the "Low House", and bought from Adnams by the Community in May 2018, this timeless, multi-roomed and thatched building is a classic pub which is always worth a visit. The main room features listed high back settles set around a small fireplace, whilst the beer is served on gravity direct from a small tap room to rear. A separate dining room offers an interesting menu of locally sourced food & including a Sunday roast but not on Sunday evening. An enclosed garden & patio to rear is also available. ”

Restaurante de Frutos do Mar
“Bring your own bread and wine to this seaside shack to tuck into mussels, oysters, prawns, lobster, jellied eels, smoked fish or their signature seafood platter. It's all courtesy of the Howard family, eighth-generation oyster-harvesters. The shed is on Mersea Island, 9 miles south of Colchester. Check the times of high water – it's not accessible on particularly high tides. You can't book; arrive early (by 11.30am in the summer) to be sure of a meal. If you want lobster or crab, call them 24 hours in advance. 129 Coast Rd, West Mersea 01206-382700 Visit website Hours: 9am-4pm Tue-Sat, from 10am Sun Price: mains £6-18”
