A man-made reservoir at the mouth of the Deschutes River, Capitol Lake is a defining feature of the city and a great place to catch some scenic views!
You can park and start a walk around this 1.5 mi loop of the lake at multiple locations. Well used spot and right in town
A walking path encircles Capitol Lake. Views of the Capitol Rotunda, downtown, the Olympic Mountains and Puget Sound.
Beautiful lake for many walkers and joggers. A fountain for children to play in during warmer days.

“This is Olympia's mall. It's smaller than others I've seen in Tacoma and Seattle, but it has everything we need, including a nice theater with comfortable seats and big screens.”

“Dimly-lit with semi-private booths. Electronic dance music, world, metal: the jukebox plays all sorts. The bartenders are veritable alchemists: have them fix you their choice. ”
