A favourite pub of walkers in the near valleys of the Peak District is the Fox House. The Fox House is an excellent pub with great food and refreshing drinks but it fills up fast on hot summer days and is worth booking in advance.

Good food (including a vegan menu), good beer, about 1.5 miles from our cottage - a nice daytime walk but a bit trickier at night.
