A large barn and storage sheds have been reconstructed on a 20 acre field at Route 22 and Harvey Mountain Road. It hosts a popular Blueberry Festival at the end of July, an Autumn Festival and other special events.

Kennedy Park is one of the best places to mountain bike and run in Berkshire County. Unlike most trails around here, these have not been destroyed by 4-wheelers (because they aren't allowed). Volunteers (mostly Art Stringer) do a great job maintaining the trails. The trails in the park are are pretty smooth and not very rocky; great for running, beginner mountain biking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Warning: Horses are allowed. Always yield to horses! Always have your dog under control!

Along a really scenic stretch of Rte 8 just leaving Massachusetts into Connecticut and open seasonally, has a surprising and striking vista of a suddenly open moonscape. During drought a passable 6 mile shoreline trail is revealed in this moonscape that I've taken on motorcycle. Memorable!
