Absolutely the best croissants, baguettes and patisserie in Philly! Andre Chin and his wife, Amanda Eap, will make you a breakfast sandwich of bacon or sausage with egg and cheese on a croissant that’s a little bit of heaven!

Bok is a massive old high school that's been repurposed as a multi-purpose space. It's home to Miles Table (a great spot for breakfast and lunch), Two Persons Coffee, Erwin's Restaurant and the Bok Bar (with an amazing rooftop view of the neighborbood). There's also a ton of local artisans who have studios there. Check to see if there are any events here during your visit!

It's home to Miles Table (a great spot for breakfast and lunch), Two Persons Coffee, Erwin's Restaurant and the Bok Bar (with an amazing rooftop view of the neighborbood). There's also a ton of local artisans who have studios there. Check to see if there are any events here during your visit!

This has quickly become a hot destination for drinkers in the neighborhood; don't be surprised if there's a line waiting to get in. Bok is an old vo-tech school that was decommissioned and acquired by a real estate developer who's converting it into studios and loft workspaces for local artists and artisans. The Bar is on the roof and on the top level of the old school, where they used to teach Culinary Arts. Great views of the city plus an excruciatingly hip vibe. Can't think of anyplace like it anywhere!

The subway is your best bet for getting to the historic Independence State Park district - take the Broad Street line north to City Hall, transfer to the blue Market Street line going east, and get off at 5th Street.
