The atmosphere is casual and domestic, owner Jurica seems to be a friend of all his guests. Although Jurica often early in the morning selects the best fish that are prepared in the simplest traditional ways, I recommend this place for meat delicacies. You simply have to try the beefsteak tagliata, prosciutto, homemade sausage and homemade fries.

The church of St. Euphemia is ranked among the most beautiful representations of the Baroque period in Istria and dominates the small coastal town of Rovinj. St. Euphemia is the town’s patron saint and her remains are housed in a marble sarcophagus in the church. The church of St. Euphemia is the most striking building which dominates the whole old town core. It was built at the beginning of the 18th century and in the middle of the last century and the new front was constructed in the Baroque-Venetian style. Climb the bell tower, the views from the top are amazing!

Visit archaeological site of Monkodonjo. The site dates back to the Bronze Age. It is situated 5 km east of Rovinj. The settlement was encircled by 1 km long stone walls.
It consisted of the three parts: the central barrow, the crafts district and the living quarters. Over thousand people lived here. Today you can visit ruins of this once important settlement.
At the site you can check out the walls, many of which are a metre or more in height, and you can also walk along ancient paved areas and a see a cultic cave.
All the while you’ll be able to gaze out over Adriatic and its little green islands, which are particularly lovely at sunset.
Balbi Arch is located at the former gate of the old fish market. The old gates were demolished in the 17th century. The construction of this beautiful Baroque building started in 1702. The monastery belongs to a type of claustral city monasteries and, according to its integral parts, it is traditional and adjusted to the life of the monks and the wider community.
The church was finished in 1710 and consecrated to St. Francis of Assisi. Franciscan Monastery The monastery library stores a collection of about twelve thousand books, mainly of theological content, some of which date from the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries and are true rarities. The library was annexed to the monastery in 1878.
