For local nightlife, this section Burlington Mall is definately the best place to find a variety of restaurants and bars!

Getting Around
Unfortunately public transit is difficult to come by when you reach the suburbs of Boston. You can take the public bus system, but I suggest using a Taxi service instead. Alewife Station is the closets subway stop to the guesthouse, and there locates a large garage where you may park your car and then head into the city via subway if you like.
I prefer this method myself because I can avoid the heavy traffic and lack-of-parking in the city this way!

A relatively high-quality movie theatre that is late night and serves alcohol is located in the Burlington Mall. Actually pretty much all of the entertainment that you'll find in the city is located there!
