Tenmile River Demonstration Forest
This 210-acre woodland is owned and maintained by the Oxford County Soil and Water Conservation District. It features more than five miles of walking trails highlighting numerous natural features, including a geological kettle hole, old and new beaver dams, a marsh, streams, rivers, pools and ponds. It's a recreation destination for hikers and cross-country skiers, and an educational tool for school groups and the public to learn about the natural environment and good forest management. The habitat diversity on the property is amazing for such a relatively small forested land tract.
