Legend has it that the Fruit Square was offered by the Queen Dona Leonor to the agricultural producers of the region, in order to sell there their products.
Even though there is no historical proof of that offer, the truth is that the Fruit Market is working still today in the former spot where it started in the end of the 15th century. Every single day the colourful market stands are set in the only daily open-air market in the country.

On the confluence between the Óbidos Lagoon and the sea, Foz do Arelho Beach throws up the choice between two very different types of beach. On the one side the Lagoon, a place of great natural beauty with its banks covered in thick vegetation and its gentle waters ideal for children and windsurfing, benefiting from the breeze that normally blows here.
On the other side, the open ocean, rough but without any significant undercurrents creating excellent surfing conditions with an EU Blue Flag testifying to the quality of the waters off this beach.

Óbidos a Medieval Tale & secrets spots.
Our tale will have two hours walking through the amazing medieval Óbidos village. We will start at the village main gate, and then we will discover amazing narrow streets outside of the beaten track.
After i will share with you the secret Jewish neighbourhood and their white painted houses with some great spots to take some pictures.
Then we will taste the amazing and local Ginjinha, a sour cherry liqueur at mister António house, but this one is full of flavours without any additions.
Along the way we will see some ancient sculptures and details that do not come in the touristic guides!

Once a tiny village in the hills of Santarém between Lisbon and Oporto, Fátima is now town of around 10,000 people globally renowned for the religious visions which took place here in 1917 and which have made it an important pilgrimage centre for the Catholic faith. Interestingly, given its now super strong links to the Catholic Church, name Fátima itself originates from a Moorish girl’s name. Legend tells us that in the eleven hundreds, a girl of that name converted to Catholicism in this region and her name was transferred to the village.
