Typically we go out for dinner once a week. This can be at a simple eatery or a grand restaurant. There is a different restaurant for each day of the year in St.Maarten, choices galore! We have a favorite in all towns of St.Maarten and Saint Martin and here they are:

Our Grand Case favorite. The menu is always an adventure and changes regularly. Combine it with a glass or bottle of wine recommended by the sommelier and you will go to heaven.

When you are looking for perfect service, great fish and lobster, this is the place in Simpson Bay. Our favorite dish is the fish and chips. The fish is chunky and breaded just right, combined with home fries and a salad: a super meal! And waterfront dining, you cannot beat that. Make reservations just to be sure you have a waterfront table.

A local favorite, reservations are advised. In Marigot, close to the waterfront of Fort Louis Marina. It is a bustling place, very French, nice food. Could not name a favorite dish, there is more than one! Easy parking close by.

There are 2 nice hikes starting in Guana Bay. One goes to the natural pool and is a hike along the coast line. Medium strenuous. The second one is a hike all the way to the top where the communication towers are. Spectacular views but a strenuous hike. In both cases a big bottle of water is advised and try and avoid to be on the trail between 12 and 2 as it is hot and there is no shade to speak of. So yes: get your butt out of bed and start early.

This is an awesome place on St.Martin to be found at an exit road between Marigot and Grand Case. It is set on the ground of an old plantation house with a natural spring. Hence the fresh water pool for a unique experience in a tropical forest setting. A great place to zip line, have a coffee and hike or wander around.

This place rents out pedal boats, SUP’s and (glass bottom) kayaks by the hour 5 days a week. It is a great little activity at a very moderate price. The area is full of sea life like turtles, sting rays and colorful fish.
