Pack your shoes for walking in the water or hiking at the creek! If it is rainy you will need some good boots around here!

The city is putting in new pipes and has dug up our street near Frank's Holy Smoke BBQ to our driveway. Go around Main Street north past Franks, turn left at the Fire/City Hall and Police Station on Cockrell Hill Rd. Go to the stop sign and it will dead end into our property. Turn left at the construction barricade. Turn immediately right into the long white Gravel driveway with the brick mailbox. There might be horses in the pasture if it's daytime. Come to the gate if it's closed please open it and we close it and watch it. The horses could possibly be out of the property or in the paddock.

We are in in the historic downtown Ovilla, established in 1844. There is an historic Cotton Mill at the heritage Park just three properties to the east. The park has a nice gazebo and a walking trail as well as picnic tables.

We back up right to Red Oak Creek. The creek is good hike straight a steep hill down to a white limestone in a beautiful canyon. We have a bridge, but it is not conducive to children without parents. We do not recommend any children outside or going down to the creek at all without 100% adult supervision. In addition, we have dogs and although they are friendly, we do not recommend coming up to them without the owner present. We are not responsible for accidents. You are responsible for yourself and your family/friends while here on our land. We appreciate your understanding.

Ovilla hosts a wonderful heritage day celebration every September. Check the city website for details for car shows, a city parade, vendor booths, arts and crafts, food trucks, pony rides and petting zoos and much more. You especially want to stay around for the country karaoke!

We do not provide accesses to the property with an accessible path of travel to areas of the building governed by the Act. We are a farm residence on a gravel driveway, with steps leading up to the Yoga Studio Cabin. To access the creek you must be able to hike down a steep slope to the water at your own risk. Once down to the white limestone creek it is fairly flat, however it is your responsibility to use safety precautions on or near the water. We have dogs on property, who are friendly, however we advise not to approach any dog or animal on property without the owner being present. Thnx
