The Royal is a 5 minute walk and has a new chef we have heard that the Sunday lunches are very good Obviously we only recommend it for the food - our apartments are the best to stay in Weston !

The Railway Inn is owned by the Thatchers Cider family and in the grounds of the cider factory The food is excellent and of course the ciders are great. About a 20 minute drive but worth the trip for a treat Recommend booking Sample the guest cider is a must

If you park and walk up the gorge you will find the wild goats who live on the gorge Don’t forget to have a cream tea with cheddar strawberries Of course you will find a cheddar cheese shop Jacobs ladder is good if your feeling fit

Highly recommend booking a tour of the Thatchers Cider Factory (about 20 minute drive) - tours are run by staff with samples - very interesting all about the local family run firm and why they are so popular there is a shop and great pub at the end
