Driving is the fastest way around, Ubers or taxis as well.
If you need an Uber very late at night or very early for the airport, we recommend reserving or making a taxi reservation.

Bring walking shoes, beach/rain attire, comfortable clothes.
If you are not here for business, it is a very casual beach town environment. The nicer restaurants at night you could wear a button down shirt at most! We often have quick rain showers so travel with appropriate jackets and umbrella just in case.

Bring a stroller or wagon if you are headed to the beach!
If you are headed to the beach for the day from our place, go early!! It gets really crowded and the meter spaces get taken quickly. For free parking, park at wrightsville beach park and walk over the bridge to the beach on foot. For this, just bring a stroller or wagon to carry your things comfortably. Traffic and parking from May - August is very heavy and hard to find. Go early is our recommendation!
