Great fun even for an “older adult”. I’ve been dying to try it and had to tag along with younger people so I wouldn’t feel weird. There are three full trampoline areas basketball area and a jump pit. Special rooms upstairs for birthday parties but I don’t know what they looked like. Concessions, drinks and game rooms. Lockers available for your stuff. Wear comfy clothes and jump until your heart’s content.

Descend slowly into the earth in a mine car as you enter the old Slope #190. Watch the sky slowly disappear. Soon you’ve reached “the foot”. Then explore 300 feet beneath the earth through an anthracite coal mine originally opened in 1860. Accompany a miner in the winding underground gangways and rock tunnel past three different veins of hard coal, past the mule boy and the nipper, past the monkey vein and the dead chute. Listen as he explains the fascinating methods used, and the heroic efforts involved, in deep mining’s history. The Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour is open from April 1 through November 30 and is closed on Easter Sunday and Thanksgiving Day. The box office opens at 10:00 AM. While waiting for your tour you can watch our introductory video about mining in our theater that is located in the interpretive center where the tickets for the tour are sold. Phone numbers: 1-800-238-7245 and 1-570-963-6463 | Email: coalmine@lackawannacounty.org Just ask at the box office for the next available tour. The last tour leaves between 2:30 and 3:00 and you must arrive no later than 2:00 to be scheduled for the final tour of the day.

Steam locomotives excited the senses and Steamtown works to keep their stories alive! You'd feel heat from the firebox, smell hot steam and oil; you'd hear the whistle, feel the ground vibrate, and watch as one-ton drive rods turned steel wheels. Remember the sound of "chuff-chuff" from the smokestack? Today, you can learn the history of steam railroad transportation, and the people who built, repaired and rode, as we work to preserve a special era in America's industrial history!

JF isn't too big of a mountain but that's expected since none of the ski resorts in the Pocono's are very big. JF was exactly what I expected from years of experience from going to the other mountains in the area. I primarily went for the WMMR Day Off At The Slopes and it didn't disappoint. There was a decent amount of people there but didn't feel crowded at all on the slopes. On a normal day, prices are a little expensive but that's the going rate. I had fun here and would go back again. I liked that they had newer equipment to rent which was a huge upgrade from the old ski boots that were difficult to get on. The view is great here.
