Great touristy spot, you can rent boats, bicycles, wave runners, surf boards, and paddle boards, book a trip to Catalina, or go sport fishing, take a whale watching or harbor cruise, lift off with a parasail. Shop (need some souvenirs?) go to the old Balboa arcade or take a ride on the Ferris wheel, visit our maritime museum, get your nails done, have a meal, there’s lots of restaurants; window service to fine dining, and Taco Tuesday at Great Mex , or take the ferryboat to Balboa island. For fun: rent a bike, paddle board or kayaks, take a surf lesson or a Segway tour, maybe play basket or volleyball on the beach with new friends. Fish off the pier, pick up some fresh fish or people watch- During the summer walk along the boardwalk, great way to see the sights and not worry parking!

Need some marine supplies? There’s a West Marine and just beyond the West Marine (kind of back tracking you can find a good size grocery store (Pavilions)

For those of you who have a car, you can’t beat the breath taking views of driving on PCH from the peninsula to Laguna Beach. Laguna has a wide variety of things to offer, lots of local art, great restaurants ( I love the patio) amazing hikes ( Crystal Cove State beach, Top of the World and Pirate Tower to name a few) beautiful beaches, tide pools snorkeling and scuba diving. I personally love driving up into the hills to see the vast and amazing view! Honestly you can’t beat the skyline of Laguna at night! Might I suggest looking up all that Laguna has to offer-
one of Laguna’s great summer attractions is the Sawdust Festival, and the Pageant of the Masters- these are “must do’s” for those of you who truly enjoy art.
However for family beach fun where can walk from your beach retreat to the beach, you can’t beat the quaintness of the peninsula!!!
