Steph was away when I stayed at Honeysuckle cottage, but Ben made me most welcome. I enjoyed his company and interesting discussions on a range of subjects of mutual interest. I told him of my quest for family history and he even accompanied me in a search of the Rattery graveyard for my ancestors! I loved Rattery, with its great pub and village community. I would like to visit again soon.

Steph was a wonderful host providing a perfect balance between interaction and space. Honeysuckle cottage is the ideal place for 'getting away from it all' - a peaceful and restful retreat with the bonus (for animal lovers) of sharing time with three beautiful cats. Thank you Steph - will definitely visit again. Christine :}

A lovely cottage in a lovely peaceful village. Steph wasn't there during my stay this time but as I'd stayed with her in the past I knew my way around. The cats, as on my last stay, where friendly and affectionate. I love the way they run down the road to greet me when I return late at night.

This is a gorgeous country cottage, in the loveliest village. I was made to feel so welcome and Steph was so keen to make sure everything was convenient and comfortable for me. Rattery itself is just gorgeous - fabulous old pub, beautiful church, stunning countryside, friendly locals, horses trotting by the front door, incredible starlit skies, no traffic noise, sweet little private garden, the most comfortable bed I've ever slept in - complete silence in fact. Perfect retreat.

We are currently travelling around England from Australia and wanted to experience an English cottage in Cornwall. We did our research and located this gem of a place. From day one Ian the host has been nothing but helpful and an absolute pleasure to deal with. He was more than helpful and has taken the time to ensure everything goes to plan on our arrival from Australia. We have not experienced the small country lanes before and thankfully Ian provided full directions and even checked that we had arrived ok via email. The place was easy as a result of the directions and is situated in an idyllic quite location which was superb for us after a busy few days in London. A drive over to Padstow or Fowey was no problem at all from this spot. This cottage is suited to those wanting to have a break away from the hustle and bustle and is well suited to rest and relaxation away from it all. We stayed four nights and were well rested as a result. The cottage itself is very well appointed and comfortable with everything you could need. One night we visited Looe and purchased the best local seafood we have had in a long time and returned to have a lovely meal in the private garden. The location is secluded but in no way an issue to get around local spots. The bed was super comfortable and we had some of the best sleep in a long time. We will leave this location with some great memories of Cornwall and this cottage only added to the experiance. I can't think of any negatives at all about this place and the interaction with Ian the host was supurb. Thanks Ian for preparing the firewood and coal so we could enjoy a warming fireplace. Big Thumbs up from us we had a great time. We will be back on our next trip to England.

Staying at Trevenna Cottage was the best choice ever :-) the scenery is so beautiful and the cottage itself is a very lovely and warm place. Ian is a great host and more than helpful. He provided a lot of important information and personal instructions that made us feel very welcome. The gorgeous cottage is well equipped, with a fantastic multi-fuel stove. Nearly all rooms have been beautifully refitted in the last couple of months and now the cottage looks amazing! Furniture and decoration have been chosen with love for individuality. I would highly recommend this cottage to all who look for a romantic or relaxing break. Thanks very much,Ian, for making our stay that perfect! Laura & Iris

We loved this tranquil little cottage! For us it had everything we wanted for our mini-moon: a forest walk right by the cottage, short drive to the beaches and coastal path and, importantly, peace & seclusion. We really feel relaxed coming home after being in such a beautiful setting. Ian as a host couldn't be better, communication was quick and it genuinely seems as though he's thought of everything you may need at the cottage (including arranging on my behalf a bottle of champagne to be waiting for us on arrival). Genuinely wish all hosts were as good as Ian. In terms of the food in the area we in particular loved 'the coddy shack' for its hugely sized fish and chips and the thai restaurant in Looe. But as with all holidays im sure there are many more gems to be found.

We loved our stay at Trevenna Cottage such a stunning place, it was clean, very comfortable and well equipped. Ian was a great host and was very thoughtful! He had laid out tea and biscuits for our arrival and as it was our first wedding anniversary he even gave us a bottle of fizz. The decor is beautiful, it's a really relaxing and we would 100% come back again.

We booked the cottage 3 hours prior to our arrival, which was no problem to Ian at all. He was a wonderful host for a wonderful place. One of the cleanest, nicest and most romantic cottages we have ever stayed in. I would recomend this place to anyone, who's looking for a romantic get-away. Thank you so much Ian. A perfect haven! Alex and Darren are a really lovely warm welcoming couple who make you feel totally relaxed and at home in every way Stunningly restored loft room - dreamily comfy bed, with tea/coffee, milk and scrummy biscuits waiting for you. Delicious freshly made rye bread for breakfast too. Alex couldn't have been more helpful as my exact times of comings and goings were variable. Very much hope to return for a weekend-off visit. Thanks for everything Alex and Darren!

A Fantastic Cornish Welcome - Alex picked me up from the Pedestrian Ferry I got from Plymouth and straight away I was made to feel welcome. The Loft room was very beautiful and incredibly comfortable - it had everything I needed - great bed - black out blinds should I want to sleep past the rising sun - tea making facilities and a mini fridge. But I was also made welcome to use the kitchen should I want. In the morning I was lucky enough to sample Alex's homemade bread with some eggs - it was very good. Would happily stay here again should I ever be passing through the beautiful area. A great place to stay if you are attending a wedding at the Fort South of Milbrook.

Lovely bright, spacious room in the top floor apartment. The whole apartment was very clean and well kept and the kitchen was well equipped. It was the ideal location for me as I was spending a few days at the university. It's also very close to town and has a nice park with views of the Hoe just across from it.

We enjoyed our stay over Easter Weekend break. Karen waited for us to give a key to the Farmhouse and a brief introduction to the area after we arrived a bit later than we expected. The area is beautiful, near a nice cosy pub and restuarant. Supermarket is not too far away. 30 mins drive to the Eden project, Boscastle town (highly recommended), and Tintagle Castle. The Farmhouse is spacious and beautiful. You don't need anything for the kitchen if you love cooking. The only thing we forgot to take with us was pairs of slippers. Would love to come back to again and recommend for family for a get away break.

My family and I gathered from around the world to have Christmas in Plymouth with family and we had the privilege of staying at this St Mellion lodge. The location was absolutely perfect, secluded but only a half hour from Plymouth. The house was so perfect and met all our needs. Bedrooms were nicely sized with en suit bathrooms to each. The upstairs living area was such a great family room where we spent most of our time with a roaring fire. Everything we needed was in the lodge and it made for a very relaxing stay, Caroline was also a great host and replied to all queries immediately. We would whole heartedly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!

We had a fantastic time at number 17. It was clean and had plenty of space for 2 adults and 3 children. The location was so peaceful and quiet. It was amazing looking out from the balcony at the forest and seeing the robins, squirrels and rabbits. The garden centre and farm shop was a great place to stock up on fresh food and good value too. We used the leisure facilities at the St Mellion resort hotel. The swimming pool was very good for the children. Tennis courts used also. Caroline has been great and responded quickly to all the emails. The lodge was exactly as described and bigger than we thought it would be. This was a lovely place for us all to spend New Year (with my partner and 3 children) as it was ideal for country walks but still close enough to shops/restaurants. The only very tiny criticism was that there were no cleaning products at all (and I wouldn't usually bring any with me) so was unable to clean worktops, toilets or bath/showers. Having said that, the property was lovely and clean on arrival and we'd love to stay there again!

I booked this cottage to visit Devon with five other friends. Right after booking Caroline sent me details of the cottage, how to get keys etc. The information was very useful. Since we were going from London after work on Friday, we reached there after midnight. Check in was really easy as we got the keys from the nearby hotel and easily got in without any fuss. The cottage is in a very quiet and peaceful location. It was very clean. Each room had an attached bath which was very useful. First floor had a very open lounge and kitchen along with the small terrace. To our surprise, the cottage had SKY tv and BT infinity wireless as well. Overall we were very satisfied with the quality and facilities of the cottage. provided, you have a car, the cottage is very well placed in plymouth. We easily drove to thurlestone, salcombe, kingsbridge on the east and cornwall, looe, fish village, land's end on the west. Additionally there is a massive golf course right around the corner too. Caroline was very flexible with check ins and check outs. I will definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who wants to take a break from the city life, breath fresh air in peace and quiet, and want to explore both Devon and Cornwall attractions and beaches.

Caroline was a fantastic host and always replied promptly to all of our emails. Excellent location, well appointed accommodation, modern, clean, and in great condition. I just finished an excellent three night here with my family. The holiday cottage was set on a reasonably secluded private road. It was clean, welcoming, well finished, and perfectly suited for a holiday in the area. In particular, we were surprised at how well stocked the kitchen was - it was much better than your typical self-catering rental. The location was convenient for visiting sites we wanted to see, but I would offer a slight caution that nothing is actually nearby so you should plan on driving an hour to get wherever you'd like to go (Eden Project, St. Ives, Dartmoor, etc).

A beautiful and tranquil Grade II listed coach house, recently renovated to a high standard. The house has its own gardens, self contained private courtyard, open plan flagstone living area with log burner, modern fitted kitchen with dishwasher. Upstairs, there is one double and a twin with a separate bathroom. The Old Coach House is within the grounds of The Old Vicarage, tucked behind the historic church in Princetown, a perfect spot to explore Dartmoor and the nearby town of Tavistock. Guests have a private courtyard & garden however they also have access to the gardens of the main house. We live on site and are happy to assist and help our guests in any way we can and encourage guests to knock should they require anything to make their stay more comfortable. We have 3 girls who are always happy to have extra children to play with in the gardens. In the summer months there is a trampoline and swings which are guests are welcome to use. The garden of the main house backs onto Dartmoor National Park. The village of Princetown is the home of the Dartmoor National Park Visitor Centre, along with two friendly local pubs serving the infamous Jail Ale and good quality home cooked food. There is also the locally renowned Fox Tor Cafe which serves a great breakfast to set you up for a day of activities on the moor! All are within easy walking distance. The nearby stannary & market town of Tavistock is a ten minute car journey away and has numerous cafes, restaurants and local interesting shops to explore. The pannier market is open almost everyday and regular farmers markets held in the town square sell various locally grown vegetables, rare breed meats and locally made items. Dogs are welcome and we provide essentials such as a dog bowl, dog towels & shampoo.saiba mais

A truly lovely cottage inside and out. The rooms and beds were all very comfortable, and our hosts provided us with welcoming cookies and plenty of wood for the fireplace. You will be hard pressed to find a better location in Dartmoor for walking the Tors during the day, and enjoying good pubs nearby at night.

This is a beautiful property in a picturesque village. We arrived much later than agreed due to heavy traffic, and Zoe was very friendly, welcoming and understanding. Even helped us out with some milk due to the shop already being closed by then. And recommended a good pub for dinner! Didn't get time to see much of the village due to this being a short stop over, was quiet when we looked around, being the evening, however there were indications of an active community, with a small selection of shops and amenities. Including the National Park Visitor Centre, which hosts an array of information for the local area - making this a good base for exploring the area. Everyone we met was very friendly. The accommodation is a beautiful conversion done to a very high standard, with all the facilities you'd expect, and set in beautiful gardens far enough form the road to let children play safely.

Zoe was very accommodating and made us feel extremely welcome. four of us and 3 dogs stayed in the house for 6 nights, and it proved a perfect retreat and never felt crowded. The house was very clean and gorgeous inside. The Jail ale on the table and a generous basket of logs for the log burner, which was topped up towards the end of the week when we began to run low, was a lovely addition. We appreciated the OS maps and other local information in the basket.

When we arrived, although Zoe was away, she was available on the phone to help us when we got lost! The Old Coach house was just as described. We loved it. Perfect location and the house was stunning. Like a little home from home. I would definitely stay there again. Zoe was also really accommodating when we only wanted to stay for one night as a pressie for my mums 50th. Great host, great house. Couldn't be happier.

Our beautiful cottage stands on the outskirts of Widecombe in the Moor, near the heart of Dartmoor. Set in the Widecombe Valley, Berrywood Cottage is a charming and cosy retreat for those looking to get away from it all. Guests can walk into Widecombe or explore the moor itself A cosy, self contained, semi-detached cottage. There are one double and twin rooms on the top floor, and a private bathroom with shower. Heating is provided by radiators. The Lounge/Diner is at the front of the house with French Windows enabling beautiful views across the garden and out onto the Moor. Sleeps up to 5. The cottage/annex has 2 comfortable double bedrooms with clean bed linen and fresh towels. Each bedroom has wardrobe and chest of drawer. there is a full equipped kitchen with electric cookers, microwave oven and fridge freezer. The dinning/sitting room has french windows which gives wonderful view across the garden lawn to the open moor. We have organic vegetable garden, which you are welcome to gather for your own meals. Washer and Dryer is not hooked up but we will provide free laundry service for you anytime. We are very happy to advice you on the area. The cottage has open access to Dartmoor, for which we can offer you assistance via maps and guidebooks. we can also by prearrangement offer you guided walks, tailor made to suit your requirements. Breakfast is not included. Widecombe is a historic village, with its parish church rightly known as the cathedral of the moor. it is also home to the famous widecombe fair. The area is surrounded by beautiful Tors and streams. Hidden valleys contain the remains of many past settlements, from medieval villages destroyed by the black death, to stone age and bronze age hut circles. the world famous Merrivale stone row is only half hours drive away. Horse riding and canoeing are also popular local activities. surrounding villages and towns offer regular farmers markets, with a taste of local (website hidden) most of these villages you will find a warm welcome in their tearooms and inns. the larger villages also home their own traditional country fair, emphasising country music and folk dancing. Many of Dartmoors long distance walks pass this way, including the very popular two moor way which links the south Dartmoor coast with the Exmoor coast. Best to bring your own car to really indulge your self here on the moors. Breakfast is not served but we have muesli, eggs, bread and milk for your first day of your arrival so you can relax and enjoy your morning. You also have access to free teas and coffee. If required, we can provide breakfast with £5 (smoothie, yogurt, bacon, egg, mushroom and toast.) extra per person. We can also provide special Japanese dinner with extra £15 per person. There is a TV&DVD player in the lounge for your use and WIFI is available. Bed linen and towels are provided for your use. you may be able to pick your own organic vegetables from our garden in season. Berrywood is not suitable for wheel chairs as we have no downstairs bedroom ... Sorry. We are very happy to advice you on the area. The cottage has open access to Dartmoor, for which we can offer you assistance via maps and guidebooks. We can also by prearrangement offer you guided walks, tailor made to suit your requirements. Breakfast is not included. once out of our gate you are on open moor. we are on the side of Wind Tor and the route of the Two Moors way. plenty of cattle, sheep and ponies all around us. It takes a little longer, but it is possible to walk to the village across the moor instead of country lanes. We have plenty of maps and guide books to help you! Also in bad weather we can loan you raincoat and wellington boots. Hopefully not needed. Best to bring your own car. You should be aware the nearest food stores and petrol stations are in Ashburton and Bovey Tracey. Your own means of transport is essential. Unfortunately, we have no reliable public transport service to Widecombe. Apart from waterproof clothing it is important to have strong walking footwear. We should tell you that we are on the open moor, continually visited by cattle. ponies, sheep and cows graze just inches away from the house, so get your cameras on stand by. If you are lucky, you might even get to see new born lambs and even baby ponies.saiba mais

Excellent in all respects. The owners went out of their way to welcome us and to help us out in every aspect of our stay. The view from the house & garden is stunning and the local area a great place to explore. It's also easy to walk from the house onto one of the main hikes in the area. The kitchen was well stocked, the facilities perfect and in every way it felt like a home away from home - thank you!

Lovely property with such kind, generous and hospitable hosts. So many thoughtful details around the house. Delicious Japanese cooking and plenty of attention given to our children. What more could we ask? (Maybe for the rain to let up...) If you want to see the moors this is the place for you!

Miho was an outstanding host who, along with Pete, made us feel very welcome before we even arrived. The cottage is situated overlooking beautiful Dartmoor scenery, with a few Tors clearly in view. Finding the cottage might be a little difficult - as the postcode I used for satnav covers quite a wide area - so if you are coming by car, give Miho or Pete a call to find out how to easily navigate. On arrival we were warmly welcomed and shown around the cottage, which had everything to make us feel at home. The kitchen was stocked with more than enough food for two generous breakfasts, the bedroom was fresh clean and airy and the bathroom stocked with towels, flannels and lots of soaps and shower gel. If you have the opportunity to sample Miho's cooking, then please do so. She's a fantastic cook and we absolutely loved the ginger pork dish, which was served with deliciously seasoned rice, miso soup and salad. If exploring the local area has tired you out, then there's a well-kept garden out front with some tables and chairs, or you might simply sit on the sofa and watch the scenery unfold through the french doors. If you're a bit of a gadget geek, don't dispair - even though most of the Dartmoor National Park doesn't have 3G/4G data signals, Berrywood Cottage has wifi so you can make sure all the beautiful pictures you take are shared with the rest of the world ;) The location is perfect for exploring the surrounding countryside and about 15 minutes walk from the nearest village - which has a couple of pubs, cafes and small shops. I'd recommend the pub further away, called The Rugglestone Inn, for a very hearty meal in a very traditional setting but make sure you call to book in advance as it gets busy. Dogs are welcome at Berrywood Cottage, and mine was in her element. We didn't ask much of Miho and Pete whilst we were there but I did feel that they would be more than happy to answer any questions, provide recommendations or help with any problems that may arise - they're usually just a door knock away. Besides, there is a very well stocked cabinet full of OS maps, guide books and leaflets that seemed to cover the whole of South West England - if not the entire country! In short, I thought this was a great place to stay and would come back without hesitation. p.s. don't be surprised if you open the front door to be confronted by a friendly sheep or a pony!

LOCATION There is a wealth of local attractions easily accessible from Trengrove Cottage including; Talland Bay, the picturesque fishing ports of Looe (see below) and Polperro, The Woolly Monkey Sanctuary, the internationally renowned Eden Project and Tate Gallery St Ives. Several stately homes including; Lanhydrock, Cotehele, Mount Edgcumbe, Port Eliot and Antony House can be easily reached from here, as well as beautifully rugged Bodmin Moor and a variety of beautiful, sandy beaches, bays and hidden coves skirting our stunning Cornish coastline. Other local attractions include sailing, fishing and diving, and spectacular coastal walks, especially that via Talland to Polperro, Lantic Bay, Lantivet Bay and Polruan. LOOE our nearest town is a small, very quaint and pretty, coastal town and fishing port. Several fish dealers operate from the docks of East Looe. With its fleet of small fishing boats returning their catches to port daily, Looe has a reputation for producing excellent fresh fish. The town is also a centre for shark fishing, and is the home of the Shark Angling Club of Great Britain. The town centres around a small harbour and along the steep-sided valley of the River Looe which flows between East and West Looe to the sea beside a sandy beach. Off shore to the west, opposite the stonier Hannafore Beach, lies the idyllic St George's Island, otherwise known as Looe Island. Looe's main business today is tourism with a large number of pubs, restaurants, and shops. East Looe centres on its broad sandy beach with the distinctive Banjo Pier. Stretching back from here is a grid of narrow streets forming the ancient centre of the town, packed with many small shops, restaurants and pubs, and the Old Guildhall, now a museum. Along the estuary lies the quay, with several fish dealers. Towards the bridge lies the Victorian Guildhall, and just north of the bridge the railway station. This is the terminus of the Looe Valley branch line to Liskeard, a very popular and picturesque journey, itself an attraction (at Liskeard, the line connects with the main Plymouth to Penzance Great Western Main Line). West Looe spreads west from the bridge on the Polperro Road and along the waterfront south of the bridge are restaurants, pubs and pretty cottages leading towards a cluster of shops and businesses and the Church of St Nicholas. Further south along the coast road is Hannafore Point, marking the edge of Looe Harbour, with to the west the wide, stony Hannafore beach, facing across a narrow channel to Looe Island (officially called St. George's Island). Beyond lies a coastal path leading to the hamlets of Porthallow and Talland, and from there on to Polperro. On New Year's Eve, Looe has a surprisingly large celebration; it is on the list of top 10 places in the UK to celebrate the New Year. The small fishing town, usually quiet in winter, due to the largely seasonal economy, is host to an influx of visitors. People flock the streets in their hundreds, wearing fancy dress, a tradition upheld by all ages. The crowds begin the evening in the town and slowly move towards the seafront for a fireworks display, and the announcement of the New Year. We recommend our guests use a car. Free off-road, private parking space is available at the cottage. We will forward you a pdf file with driving directions and a local map which we STRONGLY recommend you print and use. Satellite Navigation with postcode input is highly unreliable in the country lanes where streets do not have listed names, and a single postcode covers a large area! There is no public transport 'on the doorstep'. There is a bus service from the nearest village Pelynt, which is approx 40 minutes walk. The nearest train stations are Looe (6 miles) and Liskeard (7 miles). Taxis are available at both stations. Liskeard station is on the main London Paddington to Penzance line, with many trains everyday. Looe station is a branch line (very scenic) which connects with the main line at Liskeard. Airports: Newquay 26 miles Exeter 70 miles Bristol 134 miles Cardiff 184 miles Heathrow 217 miles Gatwick 232 miles Luton 239 miles Stansted 262 miles LOCATION Trengrove Cottage is in a secluded location, at least 1½ miles (30-40 minute walk) from Pelynt, the nearest village. There is a local bus service from Pelynt. We recommend that our guests use a car when staying with us. SHOPPING In Pelynt village (1½ miles) you’ll find two very good grocery shops, both with convenient parking in front of the door. Boxall’s Spar Shop and Post Office is in the centre of the village, it sells a wide range of chilled and organic produce, including local cheeses, hams, lots of other delicatessen products, groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, fresh herbs, toiletries, newspapers, magazines, wines, spirits, hot snacks and stationery. It also has a cash machine. Opening times are Monday to Saturday 7.30 am until 9pm and Sunday 9am until 6pm. Pelynt Stores & O’Keeffe’s Traditional Family Butchers, is just opposite the church, behind the Old School. It has an excellent family run butchers (great sausages!) and stocks a wide range of groceries, fresh fruit and vegetables, hot snacks, beers and wines etc. Opening times are Monday to Saturday 5am until 7pm and Sunday 8am until 6pm. Opening times for both stores can vary over Public Holidays. You'll also find various excellent shopping opportunities in Looe (6 miles). For great fresh fish and seafood direct from the quay go to Pengellys Fish Market on Buller Quay (which leads from the short stay car park). Also on Buller Quay is the farm shop Quayside Fresh, selling a great range of local farm fresh vegetables, salad and fruits as well as dairy produce, bread, biscuits, tinned goods, drinks, a wide range of groceries and they also have a Warrens Butchers selling quality local meats, sausages etc. Also in Looe you’ll find two Co-Op stores, bakers, Boots Chemist, Post Office and banks. Supermarkets: There is a Morrisons supermarket in Liskeard (7½ miles) , ASDA and Sainsbury’s in Bodmin (14 miles) and an excellent Waitrose in Saltash (18 miles). For a wide range of quality international wines we recommend Waitrose and Morrisons. DOGS Well behaved dogs are welcome STRICTLY BY PRIOR ARRANGEMENT ONLY!! There is a surcharge of £20 per dog, per stay. Maximum 2 dogs. Please ask us when booking if you would like to bring a canine friend. Dogs are not allowed upstairs (stairgates are provided), in the bedrooms, bathrooms or on any of the furniture. Please bring bedding, bowls and towels etc for your dog. We ask that you NEVER, under any circumstances, leave dogs alone in the cottage or garden whilst you are out or allow them to be noisy or annoy other guests. REMEMBER: This is a farming area and there is livestock in the neighbouring fields; DO NOT allow your dog out on its own, and do not allow it to harass the animals. CLEAR UP thoroughly after your dogs, including poop-scooping the garden and disposing of waste appropriately; securely tied in a plastic bag. MULTI-FUEL STOVE (COAL & LOGS) If you would like we can organise logs, coal, kindling and firelighters for your arrival. The cost is £20, which includes 1 bag of house coal, 1 bag of logs, 1 bag of kindling and firelighters. If you need further supplies you can buy them from both local shops in Pelynt village and most local petrol stations, prices are generally higher at the petrol stations. Be sure the logs and coal you buy are suitable for a multi-fuel stove! Please let us know when booking if you would like us to organise your stove. If using the multi-fuel stove please BE SURE to read the section ‘Multi-Fuel Stove...’ in the Welcome Manual in your cottage. The stove should only be stocked with seasoned logs and certain coals: please check! No other materials should be burnt in the stove! THE KITCHEN We love cooking! Time together on holiday in the kitchen with friends, music and a bottle of wine, cooking with the family, or preparing a romantic dinner for two is great fun, and we try to support that with a well equipped and stocked kitchen and a selection of recipe books. We keep a small larder of cooking basics, such as herbs, spices, salt, peppercorns, olive oil, vinegar, stock cubes, flour, sugar etc, as well as supplies such as tea, coffee, freezer bags, foil, greaseproof paper, cling film and cleaning items. All the things you need on a self-catering holiday but don't necessarily want to bring with you or buy and carry home.  We do not charge for this, and cannot guarantee these items will definitely be available, everything is simply what we and our guests buy and leave for others to enjoy, please feel free to use the store and add to it. If we all in someway replenish what we use, donate a replacement, or simply add something else to the larder, we can all enjoy the benefit now and next time!

Everything was exactly as expected. Instructions were available for everything and so we were able to work out whatever we didn't know fairly easily. The location was perfect for our circumstances - quiet and peaceful, with comfortable options to make ourselves at home. We enjoyed the shortbread and nightly log fires. I also made good progress with one of Ian's books. We happened to have great weather which enabled us to enjoy the garden and outside views.

The cottage is charming and has been tastefully restored to a high standard. It is located in a tranquil rural setting, perfect for a quiet stay and is close to woodland and other walks. It is very well equipped. Ian was a pleasure to deal with and we particularly appreciated the welcome buns, biscuits, cheese and tea on arrival. Directions are clear, which was welcome given the remote location and narrow roads. An ideal location for a relaxing holiday and still close enough to the picturesque local towns and coastal walks in Cornwall.

I had a wonderful stay at Trengrove Cottage. I took an 8 day holiday to get some peace and quiet, and even brought my mom along. The cottage was immaculate, and Ian was an amazing host. He made sure we had everything we needed, proper directions to the house, and general advice on what to see and where to go during our stay. I couldn't have asked for more!

We had a wonderful stay in the Trengrove Cottage! Ian was a great host: everything was spotless and clean, there were clear instructions to use the stove and other appliances, the kitchen was really nicely equipped, but the thing we enjoyed the most was the peace and quiet of the village and the lovely garden. We would be happy to come back at the Trengrove Cottage.

The cottage is delightful, exactly as described. The kitchen is very well equipped, lovely crockery and glassware and very nice furnishings. We arrived late and were pleased to find a welcome tray with tea and cornish shortbread waiting for us. Lots of useful information too about the surrounding countryside. We had a problem with our car as we were leaving, and met Ian's brother Derrick who had come to prepare the cottage for the next guests. He was so helpful and kind and assisted us in every way possible, while we waited for assistance from the RAC. Altogether a wonderful stay!

We are currently only taking bookings for 7 nights, starting Friday night. We do occasionally take shorter last minute bookings, please send us a booking request.saiba mais

We've had a wonderfull stay at oakridge 9. With our 1,5 year old we visited Tintagel, Bodmin Jail, Edens garden and a lot more. The house was very nice. Good beds, washmachine, child fence, everything was thought through.

We have felt very comfortable in the house and we liked the location very good. Unfortunately, it has always smelled slightly of oil. This was probably due to the heating in the kitchen. It would be nice if WiFi would be available. Lynda has responded very quickly and easily and was a great host. Thank you Lynda.

Our 2nd visit to Lynda & Vince's beautiful holiday lodge. Just as lovely as we remembered, with the added bonus of a great new kitchen. The lodge was very clean and had all we needed for the week. So peaceful, quiet and restful. A wonderful location to wake up, sit on the sunny balcony eating breakfast and listen to the birds singing. The children really enjoyed the pool at China Fleet where we spent most evenings as they open til 10pm, a real bonus! Looking forward to our next visit.

We love the house!! Big and cozy for 4 of us. We have bbq session and we enjoyed the scenery of wild rabbits and green trees! An escape for us from the hustle and bustle from the city. Although the shops are quite far (10 mins drive at least), we just stock up the thing that we need and we are good!!

This was a perfect spot for our plans to explore the SW of England. the flat is in the city but no too far in the city, no terrible traffic, no road noise, but still close to shopping and dinning. The suite was clean and comfortable and Lisa was very helpful with suggestions of places to eat and even called around to find us somewhere for dinner when we arrived late. A very pleasant stay.

Lisa was such a pleasant host from start to finish. Lisa was very prompt in answering all of my questions prior to arrival. She kindly greeted my friend and I upon arrival and showed us her flat. It was very clean and tidy exactly how the pictures depict the flat. I would suggest this flat to anyone I know headed towards Devon or Cornwall. Very convenient location if you are looking to explore the surrounding area. The flat is on a quiet road with lots of parking and close to many grocery stores as well as the major motorways and a quick drive to the water! I would definitely come back and stay at Lisa's flat again as she is an incredible host.

Helpful hostess, very nicely decorated, clean, light place with basically everything you could need, quiet neighborhood, short drive from A38. A double-bed sofa is slightly narrow for two grown-ups, but taking into an account that you're paying per person less than a hostel bunk bed and you get a whole really nice place for yourself - it's an absolute bargain!

My family and I had a really nice stay here, Lisa is a very friendly and helpful host. The apartment was very clean and tidy, I was surprised at how well equipped it was. All the appliances worked perfectly and were all easy to use. It was quite cold during our visit but heating in the flat was amazing! Also, I thought it was really nice that there was already shower toiletries, such as shampoo and shower gel. I would definitely stay here again and would recommend this apartment to anyone coming to Plymouth. :)

Lisa is a very warm and friendly person, very helpful when we were not sure about the heating. The place was clean and functional with fridge and washing machine. She provided almost everything, including a loaf of bread, is needed to make our stay comfortable. Parking was easy just along the street. Absolutely a stay to remember. Thank you Lisa.

This was our first AirBnB experience and we weren't disappointed. Lisa's holiday let is small but perfectly formed and everything you need for a short break is here. Beautifully clean too! The location was good for us as we were in the area for a friend's wedding which was 20 minutes away and there is SO much to do within 45 minutes drive of this place. Lisa herself was friendly and her family home is above the accommodation. Even though she lives upstairs, she's not intrusive at all and you can contact her easily should you need anything. We hope to return! Thanks Lisa!

Lovely, Peaceful, rural location. Threshers Barn is located in the tiny hamlet of East Leigh, nr Harberton, about 3 miles from Totnes & Dartington, Dartmoor is about 10 miles one way, the coast 10 miles the other. Harberton and its ancient pub are about 1.5 miles down the road. The local scenery is spectacular, great for walking and cycling although it is very hilly. This is a double room with ensuite shower and loo and lovely views over the hills. There's room for a put-up bed, although it's a bit of a squeeze, however there's a single room next door which I'm happy to include in the booking for the price of an additional guest if it's available. Small family groups have found this arrangement works well. I provide bed and continental breakfast, which includes juice, fruit, home-made bread and a range of cereals. There's free broadband, but even better hardly any light pollution so it's great for stargazing! The farmhouse kitchen/dining room is a communal area. Breakfast is provided here. For guests staying more than a couple of nights basic food preparation facilities are available by previous arrangement. I'm here most of the time and happy to chat and advise how to get the best out of the locality if that is what visitors are interested in. If you're interested in a pilates session during your stay it's a good idea to arrange this before your visit. Stunning views over the South Hams Countryside. Ideal to access the coast and Dartmoor. Totnes, just 10 minutes away is a charming little town. We are in a beautiful, peaceful, rural location, accessible along deep and narrow Devon lanes, that not everyone may be comfortable driving down. We're also not very close to public transport. It is about 5 minutes drive (30 minutes walk) to the nearest village Harberton, which has a lovely pub and 10-15 minutes drive to the nearest town and public transport links in Totnes - about 4 miles away.saiba mais

Sasha is a great host, her house is very cozy and her kitchen is amazing - first time when I have cooked on an AGA oven! The house is full of beautiful pots which feels a bit like a museum. She provided accurate direction to arrive at her place and she was able to assist us on the phone when needed. There is a great pub 20 min walking from her place and great scenery around. Sasha's recommendations of things to do were great too. I definitely recommend staying at Sasha's place!

We all had a lovely relaxing and comfortable night at room with a view in Deepest Devon. We arrived to be greeted by a very friendly warm welcome from Sasha who got the kettle on straight away for us after our long drive. Such a beautiful home, and stunning surrounds. We were made to feel very welcome and had everything we needed. The rooms were delightful and we all had the best nights sleep in a peaceful place! It was amazing to wake up and see that Sasha had left an assortment of breakfast goodies with freshly baked bread, and all crockery ready for us. As for finding the house, we did not have any issues as Sasha had given us precise directions which were very easy to follow. Over all a beautiful drive along country roads to find a lovely home with a delightful owner. Thanks for a great stay Sasha, we would love to come back for longer next time and join in on a pilates class or two! :)

Welcome to my home which is over 100 years old. The area is very residential and you are within walking distance of Plymouth University and the city. 150 meters from a shopping area where there are pubs, restaurants, takeaways and major supermarkets. I have a large double bedroom to rent out, in an old Victorian house 15/20 minutes walk from Plymouth City centre and the Historic Barbican. The house includes a living room, dining room, modern kitchen, four double bedrooms a bathroom downstairs with a shower and toilet, and a shower room upstairs with a seperate toilet. The house is spacious but only has parking for 1 guest car, but there is car space available within a 1 minute walk from the house. Public transport is only a 5 minute walk away, and the railway station is about a 10 minute walk away. Plymouth University is only about a 5 minutes from the house, and the Hoe and the waterfront are about 25 minutes walk from the house. The £40 quoted is for a large bedroom with a double bed, TV and your own sink unit. You can also use the living room to watch TV with me, that is if you want to.(see pictures). There is no cooked breakfast, but tea, coffee, toast and cereals are available if required. It is not intended that the guests use the kitchen to cook meals on a nightly basis. There is lots to see in Plymouth, including the famous Hoe, and the old Barbican. The city has approx. 260,000 people and is within easy reach of Dartmoor National Park, and the Eden Project in Cornwall. There is also a large choice of good restaurants and bars. If you require more than one room I do have another double bedroom which can be booked. Look for "Plymouth City and Historic Barbican 2", and if you can't find it just email me as I may have removed it for a short period of time. I hope you will like your stay here in Plymouth. Ian. Guests have access to both bathrooms, the living room, the kitchen for breakfast, the toilets and of course their bedroom. They can also use the back yard area, especially if it is a nice day to sit outside. As I live in the house I am available at any time to give any help that you need, especially on information about places to visit in Devon & Cornwall. The neighbourhood is very residential. You are about a 5/10 min walk from the main railway station and it is about (150 meters) to Mutlay Plain where you can catch a bus to the city centre or to some other parts of the city.saiba mais

The upside – down nature of the property makes the most of the views and increases the feeling of spaciousness. The lounge area is bright and airy with floor to ceiling windows, exposed beams and vaulted ceilings. The high quality furniture, cable TV, stereo and Wifi ensure that evenings can be spent in comfort. The modern fully fitted kitchen has plenty of work and storage space. Along with all the appliances you might need including dishwasher, washing machine, fridge freezer etc. There are 3 bedrooms; 1 double room and 2 twin rooms, all en-suite and with storage space.

Very clear directions and descriptions given to pick up keys and get to the lodge. Although we had some problems with the heating to begin with, Caroline was very quick to organise someone to come and sort it out. After that,we had no problems. Beautiful countryside setting with lots of birds, squirrels and rabbits but make sure you have done all your grocery shopping before you get to the lodge. It is a good 15 minute drive to the nearest supermarket. Sky TV and free wifi worked fine, no problems. As we are used to power showers at home, the showers did not feel strong to us but were adequate enough Lovely firm comfy and warm beds. We stayed in winter and one morning there was black ice in the car park outside the lodges and on the private road, just a warning if you do visit in the winter time.

This is an utterly marvellous property in a superb location. The attention to detail and provision of everyday necessities such as dishwasher tablets, washing machine powder, hand wash and shower gel amongst other things, if you required it, is so helpful and essentials that are usually forgotten in a bid to kick back and relax in holiday mode. My three children loved the fact that they each had their own en-suite and greatly appreciated the DVD selection for bedtime.

This is a cosy bed with a memory foam mattress, with a private shower room. Also the living space can contain a spare bed and a sofa bed. There is a partition door, which allows for partial privacy. It is possible to accommodate 4 in the space (this is a compact layout but great for value family stays). A travel cot can also be added. Hot and cold drinks included. You are welcome to join us in the communal space. Cooking facilities can be arranged on request. This is a great space for couples or families. The double bed is tucked around the corner and has a sort of door from the main area. The shower room is also private and then the living space can be a single bed and a sofa or two singles or another double bed (its a comfy sofa bed!) You can also access the lounge area and help yourself to hot/cold drinks as well as use our downstairs loo! We live in the main property and you can interact as much or as little as you like. Royal William Yard is a fabulous place to visit with lots of great bars and restaurants. We recommend taking the water taxi around to the Barbican and finishing up at the Fisherman's Arms. We are close to buses 32 (Millbrook - Plymouth) and 34 (Derriford- Royal William Yard - Plymouth). We are 25mins walk from the railway station or 5mins on the 32 bus. We walk to a lot of places and it is easy to walk into the centre. We have lots of people to stay and it is unlikely that you will be the only guests. Our guests often socialise together. If you stay for a longer time, the beds are changed weekly. This is not a hotel but we do our best to make our home accommodating. We are a busy family but we still get the house cleaned twice a week! We have some great trips to share with you and even discounts with a local pub!saiba mais

Latitude 52 is a landmark building situated about 1 mile from the City Centre, and right opposite Devonport Dockyard. There is plenty of free on street parking, and it is adjacent to numerous bus routes, Devonport Stn, the A38 and the Torpoint ferry. Latitude 52 was previously a sailors rest, where seamen would pay a few shillings to have the luxury of a bedroom and a hot shower instead of sleeping on board. Now it is home to 100 contemporary apartments based around a communal central atrium. A 2nd floor West facing contemporary apartment with views over the dockyard and the river Tamar beyond. There's a comfy double bed with memory foam mattress, a well appointed open plan kitchen / living room The entire place is yours to enjoy I live in the same building so am normally around to lend you a cup of sugar, or provide you with any extra information required about the area. Failing that, my phone is never off! Latitude 52, is based in Devonport, Plymouth Right on several bus routes into pretty much everywhere. Opposite the torpoint ferry to Cornwall. Free parking adjacent to the building. Latitude 52 is a residential building, so please can we request that you don't make too much noise to keep the neighbours happy :-)saiba mais

Steve was a fantastic host. Extremely friendly, he was in contact well in advance of our booking, and shared a huge amount of useful information about the flat, location - even menu's for a local Cafe - which will even deliver for you if you tell them you are staying there! The apartment is fantastic - spotless, great central location, very modern, and excellent value (the bed is comfy too - which is always a hit and miss issue when using AirBnB!). I have spent twice as much for rooms that come no where near, and have already secured the apartment for four more nights in August. This is definitely my 'go to' AirBnB apartment fro trips to Plymouth from now on. Thanks Steve! Look forward to staying with you again soon. Anton

This is a lovely, stylish, modern apartment in the old building with great views. It is well-equipped and there are lots of good places to eat and drink within the yard or nearby. Mike and Nikki were very helpful and welcoming and we had good communications with them.

It was a really extraordinary short trip. Everything went very smoothly, from the collection of the key until the final meeting to return it. Communication was always very quick and friendly. The location is unbeatable and well equipped. We're sure to return.

Nikki and Mike's apartment is outstanding, in a great location, modern, very clean, comfortable and with great views; really felt like home from home. Communication with Mike was also excellent, I requested this reservation at very short notice, but Mike responded quickly and arranged for the apartment to be ready for us the following day, which was greatly appreciated.

The apartment is lovely, really comfortable and in a beautiful place. Mike and Nikki were flexible about check in time and despite us being a little late due to traffic Mike was welcoming and friendly. We would recommend staying here and will definitely be back.

My wife and I stayed in Dot and Dave's attic room for 4 nights. It is as advertised with no surprises. The hosts were most friendly. The locale was within 20 minutes walking distance to the town centre. We carried our luggage in backpacks from and back to the railway station on foot and we are both over 60yrs. We had a lovely stay in Plymouth.

The last house in the hamlet with only fields beyond and very quiet. Tastefully furnished with private outdoor seating area, BBQ & access to newly renovated outdoor swimming pool (photo coming soon) We are also walking distance from the Steiner School, Shumacher College, Dartington Hall, village shop & The Cott Inn. Totnes is less than 2 miles away along a river path. Fantastic walks (or runs) from the door. This apartment is part of the last house in the village with only fields beyond and is very quiet. The loudest sound is usually the whistle from the local steam railway over a mile away. However BT Infinity fast broadband has just arrived & there's pretty good mobile reception (for Devon) so you won't be completely cut off! The apartment is completely self-contained with its own entrance and has a good-sized bright bedroom/studio with a table and chairs, a small kitchen area (with sink, fridge, kettle, toaster, tea and coffee making and a gas cooker with hob and oven), a bathroom (with bath and thermostatically controlled shower) and an entrance hall area with space to hang coats. The room is tastefully furnished with a stone Minster working fireplace, an Art deco desk, Ercol quaker chairs and original oil paintings and etchings. There is also a large 30in LCD TV with DVD player (photo not updated yet) and a Sony clock/radio/ipod player. During the winter firewood is supplied for the open fire. There is also a very sunny, private outside seating area with a table, two chairs and a small BBQ overlooking the front garden. There's plenty of wild life! We regularly see deer and rare Green Woodpeckers as well as all the more common birds. You can park your car right outside the apartment. The 5ft ziplink double bed splits into two singles if required ( photo not yet updated) We can provide a camp-bed for a 3rd person (or child) for a small additional cost. However due to the limited space we don't recommend this for stays of longer than 3 nights maximum. The kitchen is small so if you want to cook 3 course dinners every night it's probably not for you. Full access to the whole apartment. I'm available on phone and email prior to your arrival. And as I live next door I'm there to help if you have any questions or need anything. Where else can you reach the sea in around half an hour or be up on the wilds of Dartmoor in even less time. But there are also fantastic walks from the door. One of the best wild swimming spots in the UK (in the Guardian's top 10) is less than a mile from the house. The medieval market town of Totnes is also less than 10 minutes drive with its many wonderful shops, cafes and restaurants. Totnes Station on the main line to London is less than 10 minutes drive and there are regular buses from the end of our road to the station or in the other direction towards Buckfastleigh and Ashburton. The apartment is also less than 10 minutes drive from the A38, the dual carriageway that links to the M5. The house was built in 1962 and was designed by modernist Arthur Grayson for the novelist and composer Bruce Montgomery. Montgomery was quite well known at the time and wrote the music for the first 6 Carry on movies. He was also a friend of Agatha Christie who apparently came to dinner at the house.saiba mais

Ben's apartment was situated in the most beautiful area with a lovely walk down to Dartington shops. The apartment was perfect for a weekend break! The kitchen was quite small but functional. We had a great weekend in absolutely magnificent surroundings!

Higher Week was just what we hoped it would be. It was simple, quiet and restful. Ben's tasteful decor and choice of pictures was much appreciated. Being able to walk out into country lanes was wonderful - we had a very happy few days here.

We stayed for a long weekend and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Ben and his wife were wonderfully hospitable and helped us get acclimatised very quickly. It's perfect for couples looking for a quiet retreat and has very good areas for walking and cycling. We'll definitely go back again.

Where else can you find a tranquil, self-contained countryside haven with good local culture... and wifi! I really enjoyed my stay here. Ben was a friendly and helpful host, and the place was cosy and perfect for my writing retreat. Lots of classical music and a cinema season going on at Dartington Hall which is very close by. I didn't have a car and found getting around ok - there are buses to nearby towns and it was nice to get out walking. The apartment is pretty much what it claims to be - peaceful, self-contained and very clean and cosy. Lovely selection of reading books was a bonus.

This property is exactly as advertised. My wife, baby son and I enjoyed seven nights here in August 2014. It was the right size for us as we don't tend to spend long when on holiday in our accommodation, so it suited us as a place to store our stuff and to sleep. The surrounding is great - very quiet, and there is a lovely walk behind the property, taking in a wheat field and Grand Designs-type Hobbit house!

A beautiful guest house on the edge of Dartmoor offering full board accommodation and guided walks into Dartmoor National Park, Devon, UK. The accommodation is a series of converted barns, restored to ensure your stay is both beautiful and tranquil. The site and the buildings were part of a working farm over 300 years ago. Based in heartland rural West Devon there is a strong farming community here, that gives it a unique character. The lush green valleys look out on to the dramatic Dartmoor National Park; a walker's paradise! Benefits of our remote location include our own source of fresh spring water, filtered by the woodland behind us and pumped straight up through the farm yard. We also burn sustainable fuel in the form of wood pellets for our heating. The rooms are a collection of old stables and a milking parlour that have been transformed into ensuite double and twin bedrooms. To ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay, each room is also equipped with Freeview television and DVD player, as well as WiFi (beware that the WiFi has adopted the region's pace of life!). As well as a spacious private bedroom, guests will enjoy access to all the outdoor space, which includes a big field and garden to relax in, a sun terrace and the old stone courtyard. Having grown up in West Devon and knowing the area well, there is a treasure trove of adventures to be had! I can help you with ideas as much as you would like. I also offer guided walks into the wild Dartmoor National Park where I can introduce you to the history and the culture of this unique landscape. Our neighbourhood is very quiet! We live down a private lane, tucked in front of a wood. It's beautiful! And at night the skies are dark and the stars are bright. The perfect antidote to your city neighbourhood! A car is the best way to get around. However we do offer a transfer service from the Exeter St Davids and Exeter Airport. See the website for more details. We are a family and whilst you stay with us we will do our best to make you feel welcome and at home. This is a very relaxing and calm base from which to explore Devon and Cornwall and we look forward to meeting you!saiba mais

The best located cottage in Kingsand (probably) for sea views and beaches, Storm Cottage is right on the sea wall with three private balconies with stunning sea views. Newly refurbished, the house is simply styled with a New England feel and touches of Cath Kidston and Mini Moderns. The living room is bathed in light and there are three pubs within 200 yds and two sandy/pebble safe beaches with clear rockpools. Kingsand is situated in Cornwall's forgotten corner - a ferry hop away from Plymouth. The house is an upside down house with the living space upstairs affording beautiful views of the historic Cawsand bay. The main bedroom has stunning sea views with an en-suite basement bathroom with rolltop bath and portholes out to the sea! The decor is calm and creamy Farrow and Ball with a New England feel, with small luxuries like Smeg and Dualit kitchen equipment and home furnishings from Cath Kidston and Mini Moderns, as well as Cornish brands like Seakisses and artist Helen Round. Our cabin style small bedroom with two singles works well for (good) kids too. They'll love being right next to two beaches, with a football sized yard outside. We have a sunny courtyard balcony to dine out on with sea views. For tech junkies we are fully broadbanded up with superfast wifi and a smart TV with DVD. All of the house, if required - with parking for three cars. We can help provide an arrival box of food (please discuss in advance) and help with where to eat etc. Or we can leave you totally alone! Kingsand is a very special place. Located in Cornwall's forgotten corner, it's a twin village is Cawsand. Its three beaches are safe and perfect for kids - and the bay, which looks out to Plymouth Sounds, is a favourite with yachties and swimmers. There are three great pubs, serving good food, a post office and 4 village shops. The village is full of higgledy-piggedly lanes with sea-salt washed pastel coloured Georgian cottages. Foot and car ferries travel regularly to Plymouth, and the majestic Royal William Yard. Dartmoor, Devon and the Eden Project are all with easy reach. By train, disembark at Plymouth or St Germans - and get a taxi to Kingsand. By car, take the Torpoint Ferry from Plymouth, or follow the A38 and turn off at the Trerulefoot roundabout just beyond Saltash. There are up to three parking spaces outside the cottage - and a public carpark 100 meters away. Please note 2 trips cancelled previously on AirBnB due to refurb work taking longer than anticipated. That work is now complete. No dogs due to owners allergies. Sorry! Access to the cottage parking is narrow. Nervous drivers or owners of lovely new cars may want to initially park in the public carpark - and size up the space first.saiba mais
