Hotel
“One of Nairobi’s most upmarket hotels is situated in a leafy part of the city. Inside, it’s luxuriously decorated, and they have a great little coffee lounge in the lobby serving consistently good brewed coffee. It’s a nice spot to visit because you can order at the bar and then head outside to sit by the pool. They’re not trying to do anything particularly clever with the coffee here—it’s simply about being in a nice location and having a well-brewed coffee.”

Espaço para eventos
“iHub is Nairobi’s original co-working space and it’s where the Silicon Savannah really started. It’s the heart of the innovation ecosystem in Nairobi where entrepreneurs come together to share ideas and develop concepts. The space is open-plan and modern, with gaming chairs, a coffee bar, and a balcony where you can get great views of the city. The guy to know is Antony Njoroge. He’s a senior programmer who is based at iHub most days and who knows everyone in the space, having developed a lot of tech solutions himself. Just go in and ask around for him and he’ll show you around. They’re all really friendly at iHub!”

Zoo
“The Animal Orphanage is where orphaned, injured or abandoned animals are cared for with the hopes of being released back into the wild. It is connected to the Nairobi National Park and it's possible to do the two together. Depending on timings, you may have the fun of seeing a rhino being fed his evening snack and tucked into bed by his keeper - yes, as cute as it sounds. ”
