Beach
“This beach is known for it's red sand and is a lovely beach to enjoy. It's not as large as Mellieha, nor as safe for kids but It's close to Bugibba and there's a couple of restaurants / bars on the beach. Nice day out!”

“The film set of the 1980 musical production "Popeye", also known as 'POPEYE VILLAGE', was constructed in Anchor Bay during 1979. Today the "village" has grown into a family attraction featuring a number of colorful fun activities for all young at heart. Here you will meet famous cartoon characters to greet and entertain your kids. Grownups can be part of a filming experience with the animation crew, and enjoy a number of attractions such as boat rides, water trampolines, sun bathing decks, beach lido, food outlets, winery offering free wine tasting, mini golf and Santa's toy town. There is also Malta's largest jump around and a fun park with numerous rides for kids.”

“This is Malta's largest and most popular beach. It's great for small children as the water is very shallow and the sand is great for sandcastles!! It has lots or beach kiosks and sunbeds, but the downside is that it gets very very busy. Get there by taking the 212 bus. Its not far. ”

“Nice sandy beach. There you find a restaurant and bar, public toilets, rent an umbrella and deck chair. Very crowded during the weekend. ”

“I love this beach! But it's not good for kids or if your not a strong swimmer as the water can be rough. You also have loads of steps to get down to the beach. But it has some of the best scenery and sea you’ll encounter around the Maltese islands. To me, this beach is a perfect balance between being in raw nature and yet having facilities to be comfortable at the beach. Well worth a bus ride! Get the 223 bus from Qawra bus station.”

“Golden Bay is a beautiful sandy beach set within a cliff face in North West Malta and is the first and most popular sandy beach in Malta together in a chain of beaches together with Ghajn Tuffieha and Gnejna. Golden Bay is located along unspoiled and undeveloped countryside and the sand at Golden Bay is light cream colour with fine clean corns. The blue sea and the cliffs surrounding the bay provide excellent snorkelling. Golden Bay has a large beach, beautiful waters and facilities, making it very popular beach in Malta. Golden Bay is also a favourite spot for beach barbeques and parties, complete with one of the most spectacular sunsets in Malta, which only increases the popularity of this crowded beach. Still, the large width and depth to the beach leaves plenty of space for everyone and even provides comfortable space for all the beach sport activities going on. Radisson Golden Sands Hotel stands grandly and dominating on the cliff-top and provides fine dining facilities. When the red flag is signalled bathing is limited to shallow waters due to underwater currents from the North West winds. The beach is easily accessible by the car park just by the sand and the bus stop is only 5 min away. Golden Bay has obtained the Beach of Quality status.”

“Paradise Bay is a small sandy beach surrounded by high cliffs and a view of Gozo in the distance. It lies over the hill beyond Mellieħa Bay, on the road towards the Gozo ferry which departs at Ċirkewwa. It is easier to reach if you’re renting a car. Public toilets, as well as a large snack bar, are available on location.”

“ Great nice place on the beach. Internally beautiful, with spectacular and very cozy kitchen and well furnished. Externally beautiful and more welcoming for the summer. Exceptional menu, all very good from the starter, to seafood, to fried foods. The children's menus are also excellent, at fair prices.”
