Parque
“Home to the Hoh Rain Forest, Lake Crescent, Hurricane Ridge, Sol Duc hot springs, this destination is an absolute MUST! Plan to use the entire day when planing this one. Just an hour and a half drive north, you will not be disappointed. Weather you plan to hike, photograph, or just see where the road takes you, you'll be taken away with sights and various micro-climates!”

Natural Feature
“Hurricane Ridge. This is the biggest Park facility, accessed from downtown Port Angeles, offering an unforgettable vantage and view into the heart of the Park including Mount Olympus and other glacial peaks. It's a humbling experience. From Hurricane Ridge there is also a nice hike to Lake Angeles. Other extensive, overnight trails head from here. This is a must-see experience. Because it is accessed from downtown Port Angeles, many people hit this up on day one, while waiting for the 4:00 check in. Many people also hit it again on the way out! The views from Hurricane Ridge are stunningly unforgettable. Two hours round trip from town, with adequate gawking time. Check road conditions in winter.

Forest
“Hoh Rain Forest.
This area (also west on Hwy 101), is on the west side of the Park near the beaches, and has the most glorious old growth trees to be found. There are two short nature loop trails through the forest near the Visitor Center; the Hall of Mosses Trail, and the Spruce Nature Trail. They are both absolutely jaw dropping. Do a Goggle image search, keyword “Hoh rainforest”. Start with: www.nps.gov/olym/planyourvisit/visiting-the-hoh.htm.  ”
