It was great you could walk to store or bar. Beach was easy access across street.
Roger's camp was lovely! We had a great time there. We would definitely book again. A short walk to a fun bar and a beautiful beach, and a camp that was comfortable, roomy, shady, and pleasant.
This camp is pretty great. We brought our family of four and two dogs. It is very rustic, so it feels like you're staying in a log cabin. There was plenty of space and a nice, big fenced in yard and deck. The beach and grocery are just a couple blocks away, but we found it easier for the kids to bring their bicycles. No bike locks needed. We felt very safe. We were glad we brought our own food, as the prices at the grocery are pretty high. The beach had a fair amount of dead fish along the shore, so watch where you step! We saw quite a lot of dolphins during our stay. We highly recommend going to the State Park beach, which seems cleaner. The weather in March is perfect. Cool in the morning and evenings, and warm enough for swimsuits on the beach during mid-day. Bring bug spray for the mosquitoes!
A great house, rustic but comfortable. We enjoyed our stay there and loved Grand Isle.
This was my second visit to Roger's place, and just like the first time it was an awesome camp. Very clean, roomy, and so relaxing. Roger is a wonderful host and really cares about his guests. I will never stay anywhere else if his camp is available. We LOVE this one. Roger makes us feel like family and that's a rare quality. THANK YOU ROGER FOR YOUR HOSPITALITY.
Great 4 days spent at Rogers on Grand Isle. Exactly as described. Wifi was great and the camp is locate centrally on the island close to everything. Easy checkin and communication as needed. Would stay again if I'm back in the southern Louisiana area.
The camp is really great. The location is perfect. Only a short walk to the beach, the store and Artie's sports bar. Roger was very nice and had lots of great tips. Being able to bring the dog is always a big plus!
Roger gave great instructions and helpful directions. Staying at Roger's camp far exceeded any motel on Grand Isle and I have stayed in many of them in the past.
It was a perfect camp for our large group. The pool was well taken care of considering we went swimming in November. Nice large deck for hanging out. It was on par for most fishing camps I have been to in Louisiana. Nothing fancy but everything you need.
Great place on the eastern (marina side) of the island. It's quite large and the pool area is great. Bonus: poker table with chips and cards provided!
Rebecca's place is wonderful! Brought a group of friends down and we really enjoyed the weekend. There's everything you need to cook, two refrigerators, a great living room and dining area (that our weekend working friends mostly used to work and study). The pool is awesome and a great refreshing temperature! It made the trip! So pretty! Bring a little bug spray for your ankles in the evening and at the beach... The path to the beach is a little over grown, but we were able to walk right next door and get down that beach path pretty easily. You're not far from Joe Bob's - a good store just down the way. Perfect for a big group of friends and families! Rebecca is super easy to communicate with and arrival and departure were seamless! Super easy!
