“Best pancakes you will ever have. We always get the sampler and we particularly love the oatmeal buttermilk pancakes and the cornmeal pancakes. There are a number of other flavors, but those are our favorites. Call ahead, during foliage season it can be up to a two hour wait for a table - it's that good of food. ”

“Great for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Swam here once. Water is very clean and you can see many feet down. Also has a floating dock to jump off or sunbathe on. Went during the week and it was very quiet. Off the beaten path.”

“Although the main draw of "The Basin" is the short loop around the dramatic granite pools, you can park in the lot and follow the Basin Cascade Trail up the ridge from the loop. As you climb, you will find one pristine water fall after another, each one with an idyllic swimming hole and resting spot. A great place to swim, relax, and meander upwards on a hot day. ”
