Monumento / ponto turístico
“Learn some of the history of Indonesia here - National History Museum, Hall of Independence, Observation Deck and Flame of Independence. Monas is also where thousands of people gather to celebrate Indonesian Independence Day. You can go up the observation tower to enjoy the view. You will need to purchase a ticket to go up. Ticket can be purchased onsite. It is best to go early, preferably arriving before 08.00 am, and proceed directly to the lift to the observation tower. The lift has a capacity of perhaps 160 people per hour so long queues build up quickly. The other parts of the monument, including the dioramas in the hall below the Monas, can be viewed later. Note: Please check opening hours before you go. The last time I checked, the monument and the museum are open daily from 08.00 until 16.00 Western Indonesia Time (UTC+7) throughout the week except for the Mondays when the monument is closed. Since April 2016, the monument also opens during night time, from 19.00 until 22.00 in Tuesday to Friday, and from 19.00 until 00.00 in Saturday and Sunday.”

“One of the most popular mall in the heart of Jakarta. It shows a high end design, clean and tidy, and large and spacious hall. Top branded shops dominate this mall, making it as a middle-up class segment. You will love either sight seeing, shopping, or enjoy foodie favorite here. Very nice decorations as well as live performance during special moments or annual celebrations will make all visitors happy to come. Another thing that I like, it is easy by walking to cross the street to Plaza Senayan, another earlier high class mall at the opposite of Senayan City.”

“I would say it's one of the most complete mall in Jakarta and located nearby. Here's my typical rundown when I visit the mall with friends: - Grab brunch in Union or Monolog - If I want a full lunch, then I'd visit Remboelan - a restaurant that offers Indonesian local foods - Visit some local clothing store (CottonInk) or check-out for high quality affordable glass frames at Bridges EyeWear - Check out some books in Kinokuniya and grab Starbucks before I go back home. If I still have time, I'd visit Sephora at B1 Sogo and visit the local furniture shop right besides it. ”

Igreja
“Jakarta Cathedral (Indonesian: Gereja Katedral Jakarta, Dutch: Kathedraal van Jakarta) is a Roman Catholic cathedral in Jakarta, Indonesia, which is also the seat of the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Jakarta, currently Archbishop Ignatius Suharyo Hardjoatmodjo.[1] Its official name is Gereja Santa Perawan Maria Diangkat ke Surga (from Dutch, De Kerk van Onze Lieve Vrouwe ten Hemelopneming, in English: The Church of Our Lady of Assumption). This current cathedral was consecrated in 1901 and built in the neo-gothic style, a common architectural style to build churches at that time. The Jakarta Cathedral is located in Central Jakarta near Merdeka Square and Merdeka Palace, right in-front of the cathedral stands the Istiqlal Mosque.”

“Kota Tua Jakarta ("Jakarta Old Town"), officially known as Kota Tua,[1] is a neighborhood comprising the original downtown area of Jakarta, Indonesia. It is also known as Oud Batavia (Dutch "Old Batavia"), Benedenstad (Dutch "Lower City", contrasting it with Weltevreden, de Bovenstad ("Upper City")), or Kota Lama (Indonesian "Old Town"). The site contains Dutch-style structures mostly dated from 17th century, when the port city served as the Asian headquarter of VOC during the heyday of spice trade.[2] It spans 1.3 square kilometres within North Jakarta and West Jakarta (Kelurahan Pinangsia, Taman Sari and Kelurahan Roa Malaka, Tambora). The largely Chinese downtown area of Glodok is a part of Kota Tua.”

Place to shop
“Plaza Senayan offers a well-rounded collection of shops that mostly cater to the modern lifestyle with many international luxury brands. With its great selection of restaurants, it is a favourite go-to place for lunch among business people in Central Jakarta. Although Plaza Senayan might not be large if compared to Jakarta’s other grand malls, it does feature a refined, high-class appeal.”

Bistrô
“The inspiration came from traditional Parisian bistros by way of New York City. The style of the interior is retro/classic with a modern interpretation. The original Thonet chairs, the leather banquet seats, the subway beveled tiles, the tin and copper ceiling panels, the white brick walls; evoking this “Paris bistro meets New York loft in the 1940’s” feel. It is then combined with a modern layout and concept, creating an overall ambience that is uncluttered, clean, understated, and timeless.”

“Even though Immigrant is not as good as it used to be before its renovation, it is still one of Jakarta's top party places. It has a small dance floor usually full of expats and sexy local girls. Prices are slightly above Dragonfly for individual drinks, but they give you a drink with the entrance fee. Music is hip hop, EDM, Top 40, Rn'B depending on the night. Great for pick-up. It is located inside the Mall Plaza Indonesia.”

Don't forget to check out the typical Roa Fish Red Rice (Rp. 88,000) here with a spicy and savory taste. The best time to go to this place will be around 11:00 am to 10:00 pm.”
