“History and mystery, the French Quarter is filled with a million details you have to visit multiple times to even get a glimpse of. If you must see Bourbon Street, walk down one block then return to the more civilized areas like Chartres, Royal, or Decatur Streets. ”

Aquarium

The Aquarium transports visitors to an underwater world from the Caribbean, to the Amazon Rainforest, to the waters that give New Orleans its lifeblood: the Mississippi River and the Gulf of Mexico. Restaurante cajun/crioulo
“One of the oldest, most well known restaurants. Friday lunch is a local favorite but any day and time will be fun. It is super old school. Plan on wining and dining and enjoying yourself with no rush. Coats are required for men and no jeans. They don't take reservations for the main dining room but there is a bar if you have to wait. ”

Restaurante cajun/crioulo
“Lively, fun New Orleans-based chain offering oysters, po' boys, gumbo & other Cajun-Creole classics. My favorite is the "peacemaker" (a po 'boy that's 1/2 fried shrimp and 1/2 fried oyster..dressed of course). You should also try the oyster Rockefeller soup. A warning... sometimes there may be a very long line outside with a long wait. If so...try Felix's across the street. $$”
