Enjoy a comfortable room in a warm and welcoming home, run by a writer, speaker and photographic artist, and mother to two sons. We offer a relaxed and easy going stay in the heart of Victorian Windsor, with great access to the highly desirable town
Our aim is to create a space that is what you need it to be, and we're here to help.
There is a no smoking or vaping policy in the house for the comfort of all guests, but we have a lovely garden at the back which is a beautiful space you are welcome in.
You are given a key and free to come and go as you wish.
It is a relaxed and easy going house where you can feel at home. I live here with one son, and the other visits occasionally on a break from humanitarian aid work in Turkey.
I do work outside the house and freelance long days, but we set everything up so that your stay is as supported as we can make it right from the start. Everything every guest has taught us is put back into every stay. You should find you feel at ease and comfortable straight away.
The lounge and dining area are great meeting places and you never know who you will come across, some great connections have been made right in this home - even some life-changing ones!
We have a wealth of unbiased local knowledge to tap into that we can support your stay with and I make an effort find out what you might need when we welcome you, in person or online, to make your stay work for you. I am always contactable if needed.
We respect many people wish to have the opportunity to take some time out in your room, work, read, or while away the night in your own space.
Parking is limited in Windsor, especially as we are in the heart of the late Victorian part of town. There is on-street parking, two-hour tickets can be purchased during the day, renewable. There is a town centre car park two streets away, King Edward Court in the heart of the centre, that charges £5 for 24hours.

I am proud to be an AirBnB Superhost, my intention is to hold a space that is whatever people need it to be.
I am easy going, and always happy to help with local knowledge; I am grateful to the Airbnb community of guests as you are an important support, and you enable me to be the parent that I am.
As a speaker, writer and photographic artist, I am currently touring with a talk about the inspirational walk I took with my sons, aged 16 and 12, for 33 days over the Pyrenees and across Spain for 800km to Santiago de Compostela.
I am a published author, with a book about making good health decisions for children, called Toasters Don't Roast Chickens. A long time ago when things were still shot on 35mm, and before children, I was the first British woman director with a film released in cinemas, I wrote and directed a feature film that was awarded Best Woman Director at The Festróia Festival Internacional de Cinema de Tróia.
My art has been exhibited across the country from Edinburgh to London, commissioned for books covers, cultural initiatives and collaborative art projects.
I have travelled with my sons in Australia and parts of Africa, north to south down India, and from LA to New York across America. Before walking with them, aged 12 and 16, across a country.
“Life is a brief shot at something incredible”
I don't exactly know how it happened, but we have a puppy in the house. Our guests are our number one priority, and we make every effort to make your stay with us what you need. I have been surprised that lots of people find a puppy a bonus. He is very cute but, I feel in the interests of full disclosure, I should mention the puppy,
I love what I do everyday and call work, otherwise the usual: Films, Dancing, Great Food - preferably in great restaurants, Travel (lots of it), teaching mindful photography, Medieval History and Art, taking photographs, inspiring people to walk the talk, and hugging my sons.
