For your peace of mind and safety, our cabins have a thorough cleaning and sanitizing routine before each guest visits. We also provide cleaning supplies for use during your stay for your comfort.
Our 1930s cabins are on a quiet street near Kings Beach. "Old Tahoe" charm, but nice amenities. Large studio, with a sleeping loft.
A short walk to the lake, shops, restaurants. Trails at end of street. Park like & peaceful.

O espaço
Our little 1930's cabin is a warm, bright and clean little retreat. Our location offers you a nice mix of lake and mountain views, and private surroundings to enjoy. Our yard is park-like on 3 lots with the cabin in the middle. There is an abundance of mountain wildlife to enjoy, chipmunks, squirrels, cottontail bunnies and the occasional bear ( do NOT feed any of them please...) and many types of beautiful birds.
We have kept the "Old Tahoe" charm, and added some nice amenities. We completely renovated the cabin ourselves in 2014 to include a Jacuzzi tub/shower in the full bath, Eucalyptus hardwood flooring, new thick carpeting, and some nice dim-able lighting. Also a nice wrap around deck with a 2 person HOT TUB for your relaxing, and a nice gas BBQ. There's a huge glass slider in the living room for access to the deck, with a nice filtered view of the lake and grounds.
You have wireless high speed internet access, cable TV, and a large in-house library of DVD's to view on the Flat Screen TV, as well as a variety of CD's to listen to on the nice Sony stereo. (stereo sound on TV too)
We have placed a "Sound Machine" clock radio next to the bed so you can listen to "Rain, Ocean, Waterfalls, Rain Forest etc." to lull you to sleep.
We have a nice collection of National Geographic magazines and Readers Digest abridged books for those that just want to relax on site.
It is a quiet location, so if you just want to take a nap, feel free to do so (we have blackout curtains!).
We have placed a very comfy cotton hammock in between the huge pine trees (in the summer) for you to relax and soak up the beautiful views.
The kitchen offers all appliances for cooking your favorite meals, and also has a nice fridge. We provide common condiments, as well as coffee & tea, in case you don't make it to the store before morning!
There are 3 beds: A very comfy queen size Murphy (wall) bed, as well as a queen sleeper couch, (both in the common room) and a queen bed in the loft. The loft is a nice hideaway for kids, as the ceiling height is LOW, (about 4' in the center) however many adults have enjoyed the loft too!

You will access your private cabin directly from our street parking area. We have made "easy to follow" pathway steps which are lighted with rope lighting and motion lights for safe access at night. The lighted pathway winds up to the LEFT, AROUND the front cabin and through the landscaped yard. You pass through a fire pit/picnic area, then up 3 steps and onto the deck. (PLEASE CONTINUE TO USE THIS OUTER PATHWAY, TO BE RESPECTFUL OF PRIVACY FOR GUESTS IN THE LOWER CABIN) There is a Key Lock Box (#2) on the wall near the door. The code will be sent to you in the check-in details prior to your arrival.
*There are about 15 steps or so to navigate, and a small hill, so if you have limited mobility please call for details.
*If we have snow conditions on the pathway, only one pathways snow will be shoveled, and we recommend that you follow the main path that is shoveled.

This neighborhood is very quiet, as it is only two short connected streets with only 1 entrance/exit. It is SO close to town and the lake, you can walk or bike anywhere you want to go. There are hiking/biking trails at the end of the street. You also have a nice view from our side of the street, without being right above the main highway, so you don't get the road noise, or headlights. Its a relaxing setting!

My husband Kevin and I love having guests enjoy our cabin in the N. Tahoe area. We have made the space very light, warm, clean, and well stocked for our guests. We wanted the "Old Tahoe" charm to be maintained. We love all that the Lake Tahoe area offers, and we have both been coming since we were kids. Our appreciation for the Lake and all the wonderful recreational opportunities, allows us to share our experiences with others. We have a local business called GutterGlove Icebreaker.
