We particularly like the location of the house because there are so many walks that are accessible from the house. There are a number of shorter footpath walks around the village or longer walks up onto the surrounding hills. There is also parking at the top of the nearby Sychnant Pass with, again, many walks up into the hills from here. A major feature of the village is the 18-hole golf course and visitors are welcome to play for a modest daily fee.
One of the short footpath walks from the house will take you up to the local Fairy Glen pub where excellent food is served daily. Another choice is The Gladstone public house and hotel which is situated in the centre of the village and also has a full restaurant open to non residents. Another short walk of five minutes from the house will take you down to the foreshore and at low tide you can walk along the shore to the next village of Penmaenmawr where there is a small cafe on the promenade for tea and refreshments. Just before you cross the A55 to the shore there is the recently opened Puffin cafe where all day food -including breakfast- is obtainable as well as a well stocked farm shop. There are two further well stocked shops in the village with post office and a Chinese take away.

I have been in the catering industry for many years and I am a fully trained chef and started life as an apprentice at The Ritz in London but in more recent years have moved into management and have managed large catering organisations here in North Wales. I have also worked away and spent some years in Bermuda running a seafood restaurant as well as working for a while in South America. I love the warmth and sunshine so myself and my partner like to spend time in our house in Turkey when we can. I am also a trained yoga teacher so enjoy an active life which also includes walking and cycling especially as we live in the heart of Snowdonia -we are spoiled for choice! We have recently moved to Dwygyfylchi near Conwy and in the process of converting a barn to become our second Airbnb project as well as more accommodating in our main house which is set in 2 acres of garden on a private secluded estate overlooking the Suchnant Pass. Having been in catering all my life I like to feel that I know about making guests feel welcome. As a guest myself I'm really accommodating as I'm not one to sit around waiting for meals to arrive so you may find me in the kitchen doing more than a guest might be expected! As far as wise words of wisdom are concerned I have borrowed a motto from tv's Alex Polizzi which I really liked - there's no point in trying to polish a turd!
