Breakwind Farm is 226 year old 6 acre property located in a quaint and rural community just outside of Concord NH. In the summer months we have a small organic herb and vegetable garden and sell our produce at our stand out front.
Our property runs along the Contoocook River where you can cross country ski or snowshoe in the winter, and swim and explore by canoe or kayak in the summer. We are also within walking distance to Elm Brook Park with walking/xcountry trails, swimming, picnic and recreational facilities. For hiking, scenic vistas, and auto roads, Pat's Peak is a 10 minute drive, Mount Kearsage State Park is 20 minutes north, and Mount Sunapee, less than 30 minutes. If you like the adventure of mountain biking, dirt biking or ATV riding, bring your vehicles because we have 2 parks located near us; Clough State Park in Weare, NH, and the Hopkinton-Everett Recreation park down the street. Love golf? Duston Country Club golf club is a ten minute drive.
Our town may be rural but the capital of New Hampshire, Concord, is just 15 minutes away where you have access to shopping, restaurants and cultural events. The White Mountains, Boston and seacoast are also within 1- 1 1/2 hours by car or bus. As you can see there is no shortage of activities in the area, however if you would just like to sit and watch the garden grow, please feel free to enjoy the solitude, or we would always welcome help with gardening and picking vegetables if you are so inclined.
In the evening, relax by the fire pit and enjoy the sound of the peepers and crackling fire, or indulge in the warmth of the outdoor hot tub* (see note below under Guest Access).
Come and get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and traffic and enjoy the country life for a few days or a week. You will feel refreshed and renewed and won't be disappointed ...like us, you'll probably never want to go back!
Our hot tub is usually available on a first come first served basis. We do Airbnb in one or two additional bedrooms at the Cape Farmhouse next door. Please ask for instructions before using. The fire pit cannot be lit on windy days...

Cooking, showering, internet and TV are a short walk to the farmhouse where we have a full supply of everything you would need! There is no heat in the Camper, so it may be cool at night... Similar to tenting/camping. There is no electricity in the camper, but we have a good supply of lights, both battery and solar, and you can charge your cell phones in the 3 season room in the farmhouse where you can also relax and watch the TV (Firestick). We consider the 3 season room a guest space so your free to spend as much or as little time as you'd like there.
*The hot tub does not run July-September, please ask for instructions before using the hot tub. Thanks so much for your cooperation. Some of the additional ammenties are located at the farmhouse, i.e. hairdryer, tv, laptop station - (although we are looking at getting wifi and solar electricity and hot/cold shower out there)
We look forward to meeting you!

As much or as little as you like. It's up to you.
Ours is an old (226 years) working farm/garden and once in a while we are in the middle of projects/repairs.
Please no smoking in the camper or in the woods, or near the 1790 antique barn. Feel free to smoke by the fire pit, or out front of the property - thank you!
No smoking in or near camper or barn. You can smoke in the front yard or on the porch.

My Husband and I run a small organic garden and sell our vegetables at a stand outside our house.
We purchased our 6 acre 1790 farmhouse 7 years ago and have been slowly renovating the house and working on the gardens. We added solar electric and hot water in an ongoing effort to become self sustaining in the next few years. We both love to travel, especially if we can ski and snowboard, but most of our free time is spent working in the gardens and renovating. Some of the bedrooms upstairs need updating. They are all clean and cozy, but the wallpaper is peeling in spots and it does show its age, so it is rustic but quite quaint.
During the summer months we use one of our 3 spare bedroom to host helpers from all over the world through sites like Workaway, Helpx and WWOOF. Our helpers lend a hand with our gardens, farm stand and markets in exchange for room and board. We very much enjoy conversing with them and learning about others cultures and lifestyles.
We look forward to welcoming our Airbnb guests and sharing all that Breakwind Farm has to offer!
