I love feeding the birds, and have some feathered guests that are regulars, including hummingbirds. The feeders are outside of your window and quite enjoyable.
The apartment was built in 2006 and is super insulated, energy efficient, making it comfortable in all seasons. It is on the second floor.
Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.
No smoking of any kind. No drugs.
Quiet after 11 p.m.
Sorry, but no pets.
As host and property owner, I reserve the right to protect myself and my property from anyone or anything I feel is dangerous, threatening and/or harmful in any way. My decision is non-negotiable and can result in termination of a guest's reservation without any penalty from AIRBNB to me as host.
Unlike many other AIRBNB hosts I do not tack on a cleaning charge to my rental fee. Guests are expected to leave my apartment in the condition they find it upon arrival (except for used sheets and towels). In the event that this does not happen, guests will be charged a cleaning fee of no less than $75. Depending on the amount of cleaning, the charge could be higher at my personal discretion.
I live right "next door" - the apartment is over my garage - and can be as available as you like. If you want help with ANYTHING, just ask. If you want privacy, it is yours. As I am not licensed to serve food, I do not serve breakfast. However, the fully equipped kitchen is perfect for packing lunches and making your own breakfast. I work hard to make my guests feel welcome, and will turn on outside lights for my guests when I notice they are gone during the evening. The apartment entrance has an outside light that is on a timer as well.
I have traveled in Europe, Asia, and South America; when traveling I love meeting the locals and making personal connections. I also prefer accommodations where I can fix my own breakfast! My apartment offers both. Recently retired, I am good at problem solving and a natural born helper! This part of Maine is a piece of heaven; my goal is to help others enjoy and love it as much as I. I enjoy wildlife, skiing, hiking, sailing, music, and creative activities - all of which abound in midcoast Maine.
