It is a listed building from the late 18th century, and was one part of the large hotel and pub created in the 19th century. Its construction is of red brick
and weather boarded gables. It has an array of windows giving superb light. The house is quiet and secluded, even though in the heart of the old town, and opposite the local shop. To the outside it has a private, walled yard which is planted with herbs, flowers and honeysuckle.
