Perfectly nice hosts but in a very out of the way location. We were traveling by bicycle so it was too far out to ride into Leenaun for dinner and back out again after already having ridden 40 miles. We hired a taxi. The accommodation was very modest with no upgrades to speak of. Think minimal.
Josephine's place is a bit off the road, so to say. With a beautiful view at the Connemara rural surroundings. The room was simple but comfortable, with the bathroom down the hall. There was a washing table however in the room, for brushing your teeth and washing your face. You are asked to pick a breakfast by choice for the following day. Josephine and her husband were very friendly and helpful. My daughter and I have only stayed two nights, and concluded that it is a great place to discover the region, e.g. Kylemore Abbey and the national park. And don't forget to take a coastal route with your car. It is breathtaking beautiful.
A really secluded and quiet spot for an escape. Josephine's place is off the beaten track but not hard to find, and the surroundings are beautiful. Josephine was lovely and made us feel at home, everything was clean and tidy and there was plenty of parking room out front. All in all, a very pleasant stay.
