Experience tiny home living for yourself in this tastefully and functionally updated cabin just one block from the shores of Lake Tahoe! This petit abode has all the amenities of a normal house in a comfortable and compact design full of custom details.
The tiny home village is centrally located in Kings Beach and offers the best of both worlds: walkability to restaurants, bars, markets, trails and the beach as well as quick access to beautiful open space and ski resorts for outdoor adventure.

This home provides all the modern comforts in a space appropriately sized for one or two people, allowing for increased energy efficiency and focus on outdoor lifestyle. It's also a cozy little place to hide out from the snow or get some work done.
PLEASE NOTE: that this cabin is half of a duplex, and shares a wall with the cabin next door. At times, sounds from the other apartment can be heard.
LOFT BEDROOM:
Accessed by a steep ladder, the loft bedroom has a queen size memory foam mattress with 100% cotton linens, a fluffy down comforter, down pillows, a fan, and a white noise sound machine. The loft does not have full height ceilings.
ATTENTION: It is not advised that anyone unable to safely go up and down a steep ladder rent this tiny home.
NOTE: This house (and 99% of houses in Tahoe) does not have air conditioning. On rare warm nights we recommend opening the window and using the fan.
KITCHEN / LIVING AREA:
More spacious feeling than a tiny home on wheels, the main floor of the cabin has full height ceilings and includes a fully stocked kitchen with:
- gas cooktop
- small fridge with separate freezer
- washer/dryer in-one combo laundry unit
- cookware essentials (pots, pans, plates, cups cutlery, etc.)
- cast iron pans
- non-stick frying pan
- Italian stovetop espresso maker
- french press
- hand mill coffee grinder
- "nutri-bullet" blender
- tea kettle
- toaster oven
- electric waffle maker
Note: there is no oven or microwave but we have used the toaster oven to bake cookies, breads and small cakes.
The main living area is adjacent to the kitchen and has a love-seat, and small dining table that seats two. There is enough room for two people to practice yoga side by side if you push the coffee table to the foot of the ladder. We provide one yoga mat, and a high density foam roller. The space is heated by a large wall heater and there is also a small electric space heater fireplace the has artificial flames if you want a little ambiance.
We don't have a TV, but you can read a book from our collection, or stream using wifi on your personal devices.
BATHROOM:
The beautifully tiled bathroom is stocked with 100% cotton towels. In the effort to waste less plastic, the shower is equipped with a shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and lotion dispenser. All of the products are natural plant based with essential oils.
FRONT PORCH / OUTSIDE:
The front porch has a seating area for two the overlooks the other tiny homes and the central green space. The beach is just minutes away and the closest access takes you to the quiet end of the beach :)

ATTENTION: Guests must be in good health and able to climb a steep ladder to access the sleeping loft. Guests must not be intoxicated when using the ladder or only wearing socks due to slip hazard.
Guests understand and acknowledge that they are solely responsible for any injury that may occur on the ladder that leads to the loft bedroom and hold the owners of the house harmless in the event of an injury.
Please observe community quiet hours 9pm - 8am, and be respectful of the privacy of the full time residents. The tiny home village is a low-key environment.
There is one dedicated parking spot in front of the cabin. Any other extra vehicles must be parked off site. Note: there is no street parking in Kings Beach November 1st to May 1st.
No pets, children, or extra guests without approval.
No smoking of any kind indoors (including e-cigarettes and vape pens) .
Guest understand and acknowledges that normal winter conditions can be treacherous and that they are solely responsible for any injury that may occur on the property from snow or ice, on the driveway, steps, deck, falling from the roof, or anywhere else. Guest assumes any damage to vehicles from falling ice, snow and pinecones.

"Tahoe Tiny Home Village" is a "pocket neighborhood" of eight tiny homes occupied by full-time Tahoe residents. This home is the exception, lived in part-time by the village owners, and offered as a nearby option for visiting friends and family of the community members, or to anyone wanting a beautiful and cozy spot to enjoy Lake Tahoe.
Built in the 1950's as a "drive in" hotel this little village was a run down mess destined to be torn down and replaced by condos until we saw its potential. Original details such as the tongue and groove wall paneling were saved whenever possible preserving their "cabin" charm while giving them a modern update.
Kings Beach is a lively and diverse community in North Lake Tahoe, offering beautiful beaches, hiking trails, restaurants, bars, and shops.
