Thanks, Cameron. I am glad I could host you and your friends for the Block Party, and I am glad you had so much fun in Seattle. I appreciate that you respected our guidelines and also let me know of a couple things that we could address in the home. As for the Rental Agreement, you say in your review that you were told about it after paying. But right in the rules section of the listing, it says "Confirmed Guests will be required to sign our Rental Agreement within 24 hours of booking." So this should have been expected. Also, if upon review of the Rental Agreement it was not to your liking, it clearly stated "...If you conclude that we are not a suitable match, please contact us at once so that we can work with you to identify an agreeable resolution." Regarding the noise rules in particular, it says "Guests with any concern that the terms of this Section will create an issue are to raise their concern immediately to the Host so that alternative accommodations may be pursued." I feel it is fine for you to dislike my requirement to sign an Agreement, and to dislike my noise rules, but it feels unfair to criticize them in a review when the requirement was disclosed to you before booking, and the Rental Agreement provided multiple "outs" if you disliked the rules. I do truly appreciate your adherence to my expectations and also your very responsible care for my home. I encourage you to take the responsibility to review listings and agreements carefully. And on one things we can definitely agree: "This is not a rental for anyone who might be loud/rambunctious." The Chalet is in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood, and respect for the neighbors is most important!
