Spent a few days in Claudia's apartment and it worked out well for our party of four. Location was great for our needs and convenient to public transportation and groceries. Had to fetch the keys a few stops away from the apartment but that worked out fine as the hosts were promp…
The location was ideal as it is close to the tube and very easy access to the centre. However, wifi is rather weak in the apartment and the shower does not stay hot.
The apartment is actually smaller than in the photos. In the living room, the host left a clothes horse with wet linen and towels from a, presumably, previous guest, occupying an important part of the space. There are not window blinds or similar, but white thin curtains that al…
Resposta de Claudia:
Manolo and I agreed to meet up at 8,30pm. As per my house rules, for late check ins from 8pm guests are required an extra fee of £30. Booking my place, Manolo agreed to pay this fee. That Sunday evening, when I was already in my car driving to London (I live in the countryside) Manolo texted me saying that he should arrive at 8:04pm. He then asked me if the fee was still requested. After my positive answer, possibly annoyed about that, he decided that he wanted to arrive at an indefinite time, “between 9,30pm and 11pm”. Luckily I was in the car with my partner, who read out his words for me on my phone, so that I could promptly call Manolo in order to ask some clarifications. He wasn’t running late because of the closed tube as he wrote in the review, but because he wasn’t happy to pay the extra £30 for arriving only 5 minutes after 8pm. Only after a discussion about it, when I kindly asked him not to waste my time on a Sunday evening, he claimed the tube was closed and that he did not know what to do, and how to arrive and especially he was not able to confirm a time due to this inconvenience. At this point I suggested that he booked a Uber and he got annoyed again. The rest of the criticism is a consequence of his bad mood probably. I can’t see how a clotheshorse can bother 1 guest in a 1 bedroom flat. It had a towel and a linen left to dry, belonging to the flat, not belonging of a previous guest, like he assumed. But all Manolo could do was assuming, after all. Assuming that he could treat me without showing any respect, assuming I was there on his whim. Next time Manolo, why don’t you book a hotel if this is the service you require? P.s. Rob is my co-host. If you only read carefully my listing you would know this, but you obviously didn’t.
