Hi Wingkei, we are very sorry that the tap became stuck during your stay, and caused you discomfort. The fact that it was reported at 10pm on Saturday night, whilst I was in bed did create some real difficulties. Because we're in Ireland, and it was not a very urgent type of leak which could have flooded the house, for example, we felt that instructing you on how to turn off the tanks supply would have been the best solution, as there would have been no tradesperson available to attend at the time for certain. The messaging on watsapp was the fastest way to provide photos of which taps to shut down and their location in the house. Whilst I feel for your bad luck, I just don't understand how 20 mins of messaging could have taken up most of your evening. Finally, with regards to the "noisy running water throughout the night", we stayed up until midnight to monitor the situation, and when the flow had reduced significantly, but not completely, we offered you a way to shut down the mains, with a warning that the toilets would not flush, but you declined. It's just bad luck but I don't see how we could have done much more given the circumstances. All the best, Jen.
