NH White Mountains region home on the Baker River in the small, quiet town of Warren. Historic home with mountain views.

Our home is spacious and comfortable, there are multiple common areas and a large flat-screen TV and wood-burning fireplace in the living room.

The outdoors boasts a large back deck with a grill, sitting areas, awning and gorgeous views of the surrounding mountains and a very large backyard with fire pit. For more information visit our website (nettiebrownhouse).

O espaço

The Nettie Brown House is one of the original Federal style homes of the area, built in 1830 and cared for by a handful of owners since its construction.

We are located on the Baker River right at the base of Mount Carr and mere minutes to one of the most hiked, western-most 4,000-footers around, Mt Moosilauke, from which the road that cuts through the center of town was named.

Warren is in a fantastic location and base for warm and cold-weather activities. Within a few short miles lie some of the most beautiful scenic hikes in the state, and the Appalachian trail is just down the street. There is also local fishing, geocaching, rock climbing, polar caves, tubing, canoeing, ATV/Snowmobile trails directly across the street from the house, and the Baker river is just out back.

We have two bedrooms available for rent at any given time (pending availability/other reservations), which is why you will see two separate listings on here for the home. If you are a party of 4 and would like to reserve both bedrooms please reach out to us.

Acesso dos hóspedes

The kitchen is available for cooking and preparing meals from 6AM - 2PM for guests. You may keep 1 bag of groceries in our fridge. You will have access to the shared living room, kitchen (during the above hours), back deck and yard and the sitting area down by the river.

Interação com os hóspedes

If you want to hike in the Whites, see wildlife, and meet a lovely couple, this is the place. The property backs up on Mount Carr and Mount Moussilauke is nearby. There are multiple other trailheads as you go up toward Franconia. We saw a female moose, a black bear cub, a broad wing hawk, and possibly a bobcat. Getting back to the house on a rainy cold day, there was a fire in the fireplace and an offer of wine. Their dog Max is large, but extremely well behaved, i.e., dog hugs available on request, not demand! Bob and Chris are warm and friendly and their 1830 house has been gently updated and reflects their personalities.

Thus far, my favorite Airbnb I've ever stayed at! The home is beautiful, eclectic, and a perfect mix of antique charm with modern amenities. The hosts, Bob and Christine, are wonderful! We feel like we made new friends. Our room and bathroom had everything we could need and we slept great. The hosts graciously allowed us to store our motorcycle rain gear in the utility room. They leave a shelf cleared in their refrigerator for groceries you want to store. Christine made us cupcakes. We enjoyed their daughter's homemade bagels and dandelion jelly at (URL HIDDEN) many special touches I wasn't expecting. Bob made a nighttime bonfire in the backyard fire pit and we all sat outside talking for hours. Their dog, Max, has one of the best dog personalities. The home is in a town with a small general store and a couple of cozy places to eat. The burgers at Roadside Grill are really good. I just can't say enough wonderful things about our stay!

Had a great stay in Nettie Brown house last weekend, the house is charming with art in every corner and the location is very convenient specially if you’re planning to explore the White Mountains. Robert and Christine our hosts were amazing, warm and welcoming, they stayed up late to accommodate our unexpected delay and were very helpful giving us priceless tips and introducing us to their nature loving world and super dog Max!

Robert and Christine are wonderful hosts and genuinely nice people. Their dog Max is adorable and very sweet. We stayed one night with our 15 month old and dog. Our dog had his own water bowel and Tupperware filled with treats waiting for him in our room upon check-in. And Robert and Christine were unfazed when our 15 month old insisted on exploring every crevice of their beautiful historic home. They were easy to communicate with before arriving, and exceptionally friendly and accommodating while we were there. We will definitely be back!

Robert and Christine have a very beautiful house. It is really worth going to their place, and a good location for exploring White Mountains. Robert and Christine are very friendly and nice, and had some great suggestions for hiking. Breakfast with fresh local eggs, and the cupcakes for on the go were amazing.
