A warm, welcoming home in a great walking, cycling and wild life area. Adjacent to the river Tweed for the best salmon and trout fishing. 18 hole golf course in walking distance. Convenient for Marriage Rooms in historic Coldstream and 15 minutes from A1. Oodles of history, music events, art and craft workers in this area. Mid way between Edinburgh & Newcastle so a good stopping off point for travellers. Public transport is not good so own transport advised.
A place that you instantly feel at home in. I converted a derelict 1750's ish cart shed and storage into a home and photographic studio in 1997 so it oozes past times with modern comforts.

You will have your own bed room and bathroom (not ensuit) with constant hot water, plus access to our large dining room and lounge. With notice and £10 charge we can light the open log fire. The kitchen is part of our living space so only limited access there, eg. flask and sandwich making.
For a single traveller you may prefer to have breakfast at the kitchen counter instead of at the dining table. The choice is yours.

We'd be delighted to socialise but it is your visit! If you just need a restful place to crash on a busy journey that is fine. Or if you want help, recommendations and chat we are also happy. Could join you in the local pub.
Breakfast will be laid out for you the evening before so you make your own tea, coffee, toast and jam, cereals and fruit.
- Any pet to be at least tolerant to my dog, cat & hens, friendly would be good!
I expect your children to respect my house and enjoy their stay. My animals are child friendly but any animal can nip sometimes!
A Yorkshire lass, I travelled the world as a photographer and have lived and worked in the beautiful, historic Scottish Borders for many years. Hoping to meet new people from all over and introduce you to our traditionally friendly way of life. We have a great homely pub close by. I look forward welcoming you to my relaxing home. I speak a bit of French.
