Our place, with fantastic views of the marina and sea, is a lovely home from home for individuals, couples or families, wishing to stay in the centre of this pretty coastal village. Watchet is a convenient base for exploring the Quantocks, the Brendon Hills, Exmoor and the steam railway. It is an unusual oak beamed maisonette on the 1st and 2nd floors of a 19th century building. It is not suitable for people who cannot manage steep stairs or for toddlers (unless you bring stair gates).
The outside of the house is rather ordinary and guests are surprised when they see the attractive, rather quirky and slightly nautical interior which contains everything you need to make your stay pleasant and comfortable.
The romantic main bedroom with sea views and a large en-suite bathroom is located amongst the oak beams of the old attic area.
There are two more double bedrooms so there is plenty of space for families too.
There is a games room with a sofa bed, a piano , guitars, a Nintendo Wii, a Playstation and lots of computer games. The house also contains a collection of board games, several chess sets and loads of books. The TV in the living room has an Amazon Firestick which provides access to many TV stations, films, etc. you can also use the HDMI cable to attach your computer to the TV and there is a DVD player plus a large collection of DVDs. The TV screen in the master bedroom can be used to play DVDs too. So even if the British weather lets you down you will never be bored!
There is a fully equipped kitchen and we leave tea, coffee, sugar etc for guests to use. For fresh milk, fresh bread, and loads of other food and drink items, the Co-op is 5 minutes walk away.
