The apartment’s interior is an interesting mix of vintage, industrial and contemporary styles. It is full of gadgets used from the turn of the century until the change of regime in Hungary that are incorporated into a very unique vintage design. Check out the pictures for more!
The location is one of the best spots in Budapest, close to many tourist sites and just a couple of hundred meters away from the party scene. The Opera House and Kiraly street are both around the corner.
The owners of the apartment collected some really unique and funny things from the socialist era and also from the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, and mixed it with some industrial items. All the things are authentic and some are interpreted according to modern times. The decoration also reflects a vintage style and as the apartment can be found in Hajos utca (Boat street), there are also two boat halves in the flat.
The apartment is on the 4th floor of a prestigious 120 years old residential building and has an area of 58 square meters. There is an elevator in the building, and the apartment is on the top floor, so you will have a nice view of the rooftops and the rooms get a lot of light.
The apartment comprises of a bedroom with a unique copper king size bed (200x200 cm), an American-style kitchen and a bathroom with a toilet.
The flat has a fully equipped American-style kitchen, which enables you to prepare a whole lunch or dinner (stove, oven, microwave, fridge, old-style coffee maker, kettle, toaster, cooking utensils), coffee, tea, spices etc., and has also a huge blackboard on the wall.
The apartment is equipped with light-filtering curtains. For the summer, there is a mobile AC, which can cool the whole place, and there is also heating for the long winter nights.

Friends since the age of 10, we have also joined forces to ensure that you make the most of your stay in Budapest!
Aron has been hosting guests at his own apartment through Airbnb since 2013, and starting from 2014, he has also been managing other apartments as well. Eva joined him in 2015, and they have since been working on ways to make guests' trips to Budapest unforgettable.
We were both born and raised in Budapest and know the city like the back of our hands. We love welcoming travellers and showing them what this beautiful place has to offer. We do our best to welcome all guests in person or send a friend when neither of us can make it to make sure you are in good hands. We are happy to answer all your questions and give you recommendations on where to go and what to see!
On a more personal note, Aron loves sports, especially hockey and badminton, and tries to live an active life, also using his bike as everyday transport in the city. The most important thing in his life is his little daughter, who was born in June 2015 and have since been keeping them busy and giving them a life full of joy.
Eva's personal interests include community building and volunteering, and she hopes to help making this world a better place through education and charity work. She also translates and organises community events, and is admittedly an Anglophile and very fond of Shakespeare. She also sings in a band along with her dad!
We both love travelling and meeting new people, and we believe that Airbnb grants a unique opportunity to do both.
So that's our story. What's yours?
