My place is good for couples, solo adventure seeker or just getting back to nature. This is a cute little studio with a kitchen and bath.
Just the perfect place for hikers, snow showers, cross country skiers, bird watchers, mountain biking or just getting away for a quite relaxing time.
The town was founded to support the Davies-Johnson Lumber Mill around 1919. From 1921 until 1940, a branch of the Western Pacific Railroad served the town and the mill, working out of Portola, California. The timber stocks were gone by 1939 and the mill closed soon after.
This Home was built in the early 30’s as a boarding home that housed employees of the Calpine Lumber Mill & Box Company.

Bring food, as grocery stores are not to close by. This is snow country, so be sure to bring warm clothes and snow boots during the winter months.
