Our separate forest bungalow has its own entrance garden and pool. It is very secluded and private. It’s great for couples, business travellers or two families. Located in the Mudgeeraba Forest Estate Nature Reserve with lots of native birds and wildlife. Great for bush walks and mountain biking and is 5 mins from the M1 for a fast trip north or south for day trips to Theme Parks or Byron Bay. It is also only 12 mins to Gold Coast’s amazing surf beaches, 8 mins from Robina Town Centre.
We welcome all children but must stress that we have retaining walls that could be a problem for younger unsupervised children/toddlers. We also advise that our yard is not fully fenced, but in a very private safe cul-de-sac. It is perfect for two families on holiday, with a private pool and yard. If you need an extra bed please let us know when you book.
The Bedroom Suites
There are two separate sleeping sections that you can securely lock from the rest of the bungalow. Both suites have their own bathroom. Each master bedroom has a ceiling fan and the high ceilings and windows provide great cross ventilation to take in the cool evening forest air. All beds have crisp white 100% cotton sheets. Towels, beach towels, hairdryer, Eco shampoo/conditioner and soaps are provided together with sunscreen and other Aussie necessities in the bush like insect repellent.
The Common Area
This area has a fully equipped kitchen, lounge dining area and desk. It is fully air-conditioned. For an oven we use the WeberQ BBQ on the deck or the large electric frypan. If you really want to bake we are happy to share our home oven. The bungalow is connected to clean fresh tank water. Unless we are in drought then we can switch on to town water. We have a water filtration tap in the kitchen and jugs to keep it cool in the fridge.
The Pantry is stocked for breakfast with muesli, cereals, yogurt, bread for toast and most of the basics for cooking – salt, pepper, oil, butter, crackers, vinegar, mayonnaise, spreads, coffee, selection of teas, milk, soy and almond milk and some extras like rice and pasta. We have a front loader washing machine and tub in the garage with Eco friendly detergents. Most items will dry on the clothes horse in Queensland however, we do have a dryer at our house if needed. Please ask us. The garden has a great selection of fresh herbs and lemons (in season). Please help yourself. We have provided a selection of the local craft beers and wines available FOR SALE at Cost Price to save that drive to the bottle shop. This is an HONOUR SYSTEM so please leave payment for wine and beer consumed in the drawer.
The Bungalow is well connected with ADSL 2# available and WiFi. The Main area TV has Chromecast installed allowing you to stream Apps from your phone or tablet including Netflix and popular music apps. We have an IPad with the most popular Chromecast Apps already installed for your convenience. We also have an large workstation with a desktop computer (Windows 10) available for guests who need to work. It is connected to ADSL and has a scanner and colour printer attached. Headphones are available for those who use a VOIP phone. Due to our hinterland location mobile phone reception is weak inside the bungalow. However we find that Telstra reception is fine on the deck and other providers like Vodafone and Optus are OK but clearer outside. We have a landline if you need to give anyone your number in case of emergency. We find using popular messaging apps that utilise WI-FI like IMessage or Android apps keep us adequately in touch.
Our Pebblecrete pool has a beach for just sitting and relaxing.
We have a collection of board games and card games for those chill down times and a Table Tennis Table and Dart board. A selection of CD’s books and magazines are available. We have some beach accessories you may borrow like boogie boards and a beach tent or umbrella.
Acesso dos hóspedes
As we live next door we will be happy to meet and greet you on arrival and show you around. Our bungalow has its own driveway and secure garage parking is available for one vehicle and off street parking for additional cars. Guests have full access to all of the facilities including the swimming pool, the lawn areas and garden. We also have room to store your holiday extra's like bikes, surfboards and other valuable larger items.

We are available if anything is needed and will interact as little or much as you like. We have lived here for 12 years and James is a very keen road cyclist and would be happy to suggest rides or take you along for his early morning cycle with friends. We have a kelpie cross labrador called "Pepper". She is fenced in at our house and only allowed out if you would likes to greet her. She is always keen for extra attention. Your privacy is very much respected. We look forward to welcoming you and sharing our slice of hinterland tranquillity.
Please treat our bungalow like your grandma’s! So strictly no parties and no smoking inside or out. Even though we are in a rural area we must ask that there be quiet time after 10.30pm. Please leave our house tidy and try to put things back where you found them.
Strictly no glass in the pool area. Please observe the Pool Safety signs in the pool area. All children must be fully supervised by an adult in the pool area at all times. Please beware of retaining walls around the perimeter of the pool area.
We are Eco friendly, the bungalow is connected to a recycled BIOCYCLE system. We provide Eco soaps, shampoo/conditioner and washing powders to suit our system. Please respect our system and refrain from putting any disinfectants into our toilets or sinks. Please check with us if you are not sure. We also have signs in the bathroom as a reminder. If we need to get a service call out during or shortly after your stay you may be required to cover this fee. Please switch off all lighting including deck lighting if not in use and when retiring to bed. Please make sure all doors are locked when you go out. It is important to communicate any issues you may have, so we can lend a helping hand.

Welcome to the Gold Coast Hinterland. What a beautiful part of coast I live in "close to town and closer to nature". I live in the Mudgeeraba Forest on acreage with James my partner my daughter Brii (last one at home, in photo with my son) and our dog "Pepper" who controls us all. We are surrounding by subtropical bush and wildlife. My passion is my family and friends first and then my love of food, cooking exploring the cuisine of our fabulous coast, at markets and cafes. We love to travel however family and work commitments have prevented this for a while. The best memories of my years backpacking, are the people I met and interaction with the locals. It is such an enriching part of the journey. I enjoy my garden and the outdoor space of peace and tranquility here in the Forest. I look forward to welcoming you to our paradise in the Aussie Bush.
