A cozy and light filled home located a short walk from shops, cafes, restaurants and the ocean. We rebuilt our home using salvaged timbers to create a superbly comfortable nest. Gourmet kitchen, claw foot tub, wood burning stove, modern fine furnishings and curated art and library all create an ideal home base to explore the Sea to Sky corridor. An hour to Vancouver, 45 minutes to the slopes of Whistler and minutes from world class mountain biking, hiking trails and the Sea to Sky gondola.
Please see our host reviews for reviews of the house.
There are two bedrooms and a loft. The master bedroom has a king bed and the second bedroom is our daughters room, use it for your child to sleep in a crib or store your bikes:) The loft has both a queen bed and single bed. All the beds have down duvets and lots of pillows. The kitchen has a professional quality gas range, small appliances galore (vitamix, food processor, kitchen aid mixer, BBQ) and a plethora of coffee making options. There are heated floors in the bathroom and a wood stove (and stocked wood shed outside) to keep the house cozy. Enjoy our library of fiction and non fiction with a emphasis on local art and history. Enjoy fresh foods from our backyard garden. We are set up for a child with crib, high chair, run bike, rocking horse, blocks and toys.

Than happy to share local knowledge with you prior to our arrival. Our neighbours are amazing. If ever there was a problem they would be more than happy to offer assistance.
As mentioned in the house rules.. .
The house is a happy space for children with toys, high chair and crib however with the nature of the high loft sleeping space, it may be best for small children to sleep in the master bedroom downstairs or be accompanied by adults in the loft.
As previously mentioned, guests must be proficient at lighting, stoking and restocking the indoor wood box.
Our home is our cherished space. Please treat it with respect. Shoes off, strictly no smoking and caution when using candles as the entire home is built if wood.
The primary heat in the house is wood stove. Proficiency in lighting, stoking and restocking the indoor wood box is required. Kindling and firewood is abundant on property. The bedrooms and bathroom have separate thermostat controlled heat sources.

Brad is a professional firefighter by day and large tree and chainsaw expert by night. Kinley is a rock climbing guide and also runs a backcountry catering business and has lived in Squamish for 15 years.
We rebuilt our home together over the past few years now sharing it with our one year old daughter Teya and dog Odee.
We both greatly enjoy biking, climbing, hiking and wind sports here in Squamish and have travelled around the world to enjoy these same activities. Our perfect day would include a little sleep in, leisurely coffee and breakfast, any combination of ocean or mountain based adventures followed by a tasty home cooked meal with friends and cold beverages.
