Our tree-house is situated in the midst of thick cardamom plantation where we have tried to blend Agro cum Ecotourism. Here we desired to spread agricultural awareness along with ecological service. Nights are serene which gives you the real essence of jungle where one sleeps under the lullaby of Cicadas. There are more than 45 species of birds making our destination an important birding area.
All cottages are designed in such a way that they stand 10 feet above the ground giving a tree House feeling. Instead ofstaircase, we constructed ladder type stairs for giving you a true machan feeling. Therefore we don't recommend it for old aged people having issues in climbing ladders as well as pregnant ladies. All cottages are separate with an attached bathroom and a beautiful balcony to relax and enjoy the bird diversity.
There are five such cottages. Each cottage is double occupancy affording maximum 3 people. Therefore this property is suitable for a team of not more than 15 person. We don't have heater for hot water but can be arranged on request. Rooms are free from television, so that the natural ambience is held intact. Morning and evening time as the best with the cacophony of birds of around, like a soothening balm for tired heart and soul, in other words, an ideal location for Bird Watchers. We provide delicious and traditional kerala type home made food but since it is not include in the package like breakfast, will request our guests to inform us if they are looking forward for homely cuisine.

I am basically a wildlife researcher working with wildlife institute of India, where I am concentrating on Ecotourism as its blend wildlife tourism with sustainable development. I loves to travel and to meet people who is really enthusiastic at researching on wildlife. I am a native of Thekkady. I am more into biodiversity conservation and ecotourism is an important tool for creating more awareness. In 2012, I got an opportunity to work at periyar tiger reserve to study the impact of ecotourism. Ecotourism should be sustainable and above all should be organised by the local community that will lead to their socio economic development thus bringing down there over dependency of nature. From then onwards my work is inclined to promote ecotourism. Through that ensure Biodiversity conservation.
