Looking for the perfect place to unwind and recharge your batteries? La Petite Mimosa offers you a relaxing holiday with great wifi and access to shops, restaurants and activities.
Enjoy the spring-water pool and the shady hammock by the pergola. Explore castles, visit galleries, go swimming or fishing in local lakes. Enjoy the delights of this gourmet region of France and of course the wine. Then chill out as the sun goes down with a BBQ and a glass of wine in the lantern light. Just relax
Set in 6 acres of lush greenery and complete with a springwater swimming pool, La Petite Mimosa is the ideal holiday location for a couple, or a young family, looking for a quiet, relaxed holiday not too far off the beaten track.
The apartment is situated on the upper level of an ivy-clad converted barn and is approached via an external wooden staircase that is sheltered under a hangar. The hangar, lit with lanterns and fairy lights, offers an alternative seating and dining area; perfect for relaxing on warm summer evenings. It is especially useful if you have small children asleep and want to be near to them ... and yet far enough away to wind down. There is also an excellent barbecue and a choice of places to dine alfresco.
2 adults and 2 children can be accommodated in the two bedrooms, a double and a bunk room, with a shower room and a separate toilet. There is also a comfortable double sofa bed in the living room.
There is a bright and airy living space with a cosy seating area and a kitchen diner. The kitchen is very well equipped for cooking up a storm with the fabulous french ingredients you can pick up at the supermarket or street markets. There is a vestibule room offering additional space for indoor play and relaxation.
The private springwater swimming pool, shared only with us, the owners, is edged by a terracotta tiled terrace with pretty planting and box hedging. We very rarely use the pool.
You will find table tennis, badminton, darts, lots of space for ball games and lovely walks from your doorstep.
Supermarkets, markets and restaurants are ten to twenty minutes drive away so you will need to have a car or motorbike. Limoges, Angoulême and Périgueux are all less than an hour's drive away.

You have full access to the garden and grounds apart from our terrace which is on the opposite side of the house. You have private use of the pool between 10:00 and 18:00. If you are particularly keen to use the pool area in the early morning or evening, for example, when it is incredibly hot...which it can be here, please do ask.

We ran a really popular and successful B&B in Glastonbury Somerset, (the town not the festival) and we loved it. We had a great time sharing our place with the guests. I love to cook and we are both partial to the odd glass of wine. During our time running The Lantern Tree, we learned how to allow our guests space to relax and make them feel at home.
Changeover day is Saturday. We can only accept weekly bookings in July August. Short breaks are available the rest of the year.
