Let's start with the positives.
--it's very clean, The air-conditioner is very responsive and cold, spacious for two people (could add two little kids, but not two more adults), it feels like a new renovation, plenty of closet space and storage, fantastic location, don't need the host to be present to check in.
And now the negatives.
--I don't think this property is worth what we paid. We stayed Friday through Sunday during August, and paid $130 per night. In its current state, it should be maximum $100 per night.
--The biggest issue we had was with privacy. There are very large floor-to-ceiling windows on one entire side of the house, and no shades to cover them at night. There are two freestanding screens provided, but these don't come anywhere close to being sufficient. The adjacent main house (~10 feet away) also has large windows and apparently doesn't have any shades, so you can see absolutely everything. In the bedroom, there are shades on the windows, but they are literally made of paper. Bugs kept getting trapped between the window and the paper shade, making a scratching noise all night. As another reviewer pointed out, there is no door on the only bathroom. My partner and I have no problem peeing in front of each other, but not number two! It's also very loud when someone gets up to use the bathroom at night.
--Another issue was with the pillows provided. I have never encountered pillows this cheap. It's like sleeping on cotton candy; it just disappears as soon as you put your head on it. We doubled up the pillows, but that didn't really help.
--The bedroom door opens only halfway. It's a door on a slider, and the bar that the door slides on is not long enough. So if you are big, you'll have a problem getting in the bedroom.
--Even though it has clearly been renovated recently, whoever did it did a rather poor job with the tile and painting. However, this is the least impactful issue.
