Welcome to the beautiful Atlas Mews!
The house is situated in a private, gated Mews, away from the hustle and bustle of East London. This results in no traffic noises and peace and quiet, yet with the trendy nightlife and markets of Dalston right on your doorstep. Also a short walking distance is London Fields and the Broadway Market, Shoreditch, Regents Canal and Islington. One of my favourite things in the area is the London Fields Lido (big heated outdoor swimming pool) which is amazing when the sun comes out but even great in the snow as it is always heated to 28 degrees Celsius. In the house I have exercise ball, dumbells and tennis rackets should you fancy a game at nearby courts.
Split over 5 different levels, the converted warehouse was a pet project of an award-winning architect and is finished to an impeccable standard. Wooden floors, Venetian blinds and LED spotlights throughout, now expense was spared in its refurbishment. The kitchen is well fitted out with oven/grill, washing machine, blender kettle etc. which are all at your disposal. The living room has an incredibly comfortable (and massive) corner sofa along with 42" LED TV with HDMI cable, dining table, awesome Sony speakers, even a fold out poker table and chips! The ceiling is very high with a mezzanine work space which guests are free to avail of. It also has a private parking space which in this area of London is like gold-dust!
The bedroom is located on the very top floor of the house. It has a balcony on either side of the room with sliding doors on each, which means that it gets beautiful natural light at all times of the day and has some pretty cool views of Dalston and London. There is also an en suite in this room and an overhead rain shower.
The second room is on the ground floor. It has a double bed, and also boasts an en suite with shower.
I am a 35 year-old Irish Film Producer who has been living in London for 9 years. I really love the city but also love getting away and have traveled extensively and have used Airbnb in a few cities around the world, I think it's such a great service. I know all the cool spots around East London and am more than happy to help you out with recommendations on where to eat, party or get your culture on. Luckily, the area is amazing for all of these things!
With the overground service, Dalston Junction station is super easy to get to and the house is just a 2 minute walk from the station. There are also loads of buses that pass nearby meaning it is a really short trip from Kings Cross, Liverpool St or Central London.
Buses that pass near to the house include the (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) and 56.
You are only a very short walk from supermarkets, butchers, markets, clothes shops, cinemas, countless restaurants and bars (best Turkish food anywhere, yum!), nightclubs, pharmacies etc.
