Enter the world of professional filmmaking with a working Hollywood Foley Artist. We'll start with a quick talk about the art of Foley and how it's used in every TV show and movie. (Bone breaks, floor creaks, SWAT footsteps, kissing!...) Next, it's time for you to star in your very own film, where you’ll recreate an epic sword battle!
After we yell “Cut!” you’ll tour a collection of professional Foley props used in some of your favorite shows like Bull, Designated Survivor, Glow, New Girl, American Vandal and Atlanta. You will then use these props to create the sounds for your film! Do your best and make it loud! And even, add your own voice-over! Like the stars!
Laugh hard, and be amazed when we play back your battle video with your very own Sound FX and voices!
By the end you’ll have a new perspective on what it really takes to make movie magic!

I’m Adam, a 4-time Emmy nominated Foley Artist currently working on Hollywood movies and TV shows: Jumanji 2, The Good Doctor, 9-1-1, Shameless, Mr. Robot, Orange is the New Black, Lost, Fargo, and many more.

We’ll be at my home studio in the San Fernando Valley, 20 minutes North of Downtown Los Angeles. It’s where I’ve recorded Foley for shows like Arrested Development, Atlanta, GLOW, The Middle, and Designated Survivor.

This was a wonderful experience from start to finish. I really wanted to book it as a birthday gift for my husband but it didn’t look like Adam was available that weekend. However, I decided to message him and he was gracious enough to make time for our 2hr session. We got stuck in LA traffic and were running a little late, but he didn’t freak out or cancel the appointment. He was very courteous and understanding and even let us stay the full 2hrs instead of cutting it off right at noon. In addition to learning about foley artists and filming our scene, we enjoyed great conversation and could really feel the passion Adam has for his craft. He made us feel like friends stopping by to have some fun instead of random people who paid him to teach them stuff. If you’re a movie nerd, into foley, sound fx, acting or you just enjoy unique experiences ... I highly recommend this one!
