O que você fará

Forest Bathing is a practice that supports health and wellness through guided immersion in forests and other environments to promote the well-being of both people and the land. It is inspired by the Japanese practice of Shinrin-yoku.

Forest Bathing provides a pathway for people to remember how to immerse themselves in nature to rest from all that consumes them in their modern daily lives. This practice can provide calmness, relaxation and an overall feeling of bliss.

We'll begin with a brief introduction to the land and health benefits of the practice. Then for over 2 hours, we'll gently move through a series of invitations while relaxing and walking in the forest. The sequence of invitations are simple but mindfully created to help you become present and build a meaningful relationship with nature. You will have an opportunity to be silent, walk, sit and share. The practice ends with a tea gathering experience that involves locally foraged plants and small bites of organic food.

Awaken your senses, slow down and make a deep connection to one of the most beautiful forests in Pennsylvania.

Join me... come along on a journey in partnership with nature.

I am native to the Pocono Mountain region of PA. I grew up being surrounded by nature and exploring all the waterfalls, streams and trails in the area. I have found an incredible forest that I would like to share with you and practice a style of Shinrin-yoku that was developed by the Association of Nature and Forest Therapy.

I am a certified ANFT Forest Therapy Guide and I will safely take you through a sequence that promotes presence, stillness and improves your relationship with the forest and yourself.

I spend a portion of my time during the year in Costa Rica, which is one of the most biodiverse locations in the world. I began my journey as a Forest Therapy Guide in Costa Rica on the Caribbean slope in a small village called Sarapiqui. I'm thrilled to bring this restoring practice to my homeland of Pennsylvania.

My sister and I had a great experience this morning with Brian. Neither of us had experienced forrest bathing before. I was able to connect with the land in a way that allowed me to slow my mind and appreciate the abundance of life around us. It was a rather chilly morning and I would recommend hiking type shoes, especially in the Fall season when leaves can be wet and slick on the forrest ground. I look forward to continuing these practices on my own. Brian- many thanks to you for sharing your knowledge and experience with us today.

Brian's experience is excellent. He is a considerate and kind host. We were even a bit late, and he managed to give us last-minute directions and get us to the experience on time. He is very knowledgeable, and provides excellent insight into the material. It really was a fun and magical experience!

To describe this experience as just amazing would be a disservice to Brian. I planned this experience for my girlfriend and I to re-center ourselves. I didn’t have a full idea about what the experience would be, I just knew we were gonna be in nature, possibly hugging trees lol. The park is absolutely beautiful. The weather was PERFECT. We came on October 10th, average temperature of about 55 degrees and 70 by noon. Clear skies and the perfect balance between the fall chill and the sun. We felt so at peace by the time we left The experience itself can be very introspective depending on who you are. There is no right or wrong on this experience. This allows you to take a break from daily life and truly appreciate what’s around you. I took A LOT of photos during the experience as to never forget. Brian, the Forest Therapy Guide, is GREAT. He is extremely in tune with nature and is knowledgeable. He makes this experience worthwhile and really makes you rethink how you life your daily life. He has a wealth of information that makes this experience more than what you’d expect. Overall, I recommend this for any and everyone. I’m hoping to partake in Brian’s guidance around the same time each year.
