Are you looking for an activity that helps to enjoy every bite by learning to access new ways of eating?

During this experience, I will take you on a 1-hour journey of eating meditation that will bring you peaceful and joyful energy.

This experience is structured in three parts.
First, we will meet online.
This experience begins with an introduction to the philosophy of zen, including how to eat mindfully. I will guide you to induce relaxation through simple exercise and breathing techniques.

Next, we start eating in a calm and relaxed state for 20 minutes. Mindful Zen eating is one of the practices in Buddhism that is easy to implement in your own life. You may feel a connection with food, nature, and people. We’ll explore this state of peace while eating, feeling full of joy. Eating together slowly in a calm and relaxed environment will leave you feeling more grounded.

Finally, we take a moment to share what we feel together. Sharing your feelings is helpful for you to clear your mind, connect with others, and end the experience with a positive feeling.

I have been practicing zen Buddhism for 8 years, graduated from Chuo University, the Faculty of Policy Studies, and studied Zen and Japanese culture.

As a happy person, I will share the way of eating mindfully to give you calm and joy in the Japanese way with you.

I am now writing a book and dreaming to make a documentary video about Zen Eating.

It's my first class of food meditation. Before this my best respect to the food is focusing on eating them, be efficient. Momo teaches me there is a bigger part of food than me that I can feel connected to: the land, the planet and the producer. She will move to country side, where her grandparents are, so expect her to bring new perspectives to you.

Had a wonderful time with Momo and people around the world. Momo's guide was gentle and inspiring. After the session, I had a chance to have a Chinese dumpling but I didn't have to have soy sauce to go with. I realized that the taste was rich enough already! Thank you Momo for the mind and tongue opening time!

I've had a really lovely experience while learning how to eat the "Zen"-way! Momo explained everything in a calm and nice way and she brought peace to my mind by teaching me how to enjoy every single bite in a mindful way. I personally tried it with bread and grapes because I wanted to try different textures. Let's say after this experience I really want to use this new skill in my life. I feel like I only now learn how to really taste things. It's such a good experience! I will totally eat slower and with more intention now. Enjoying what I have on my plate... being grateful. Whoever likes food and a calm mind can totally benefit from this experience! Thank you Momo! You changed an important part of life - food and eating - into something I do enjoy even more now! <3

I found the experience very insightful. Momo was a friendly, patient, calming yet enthusiastic presence, there to guide me to a deeper understanding of my body and it’s relationship with food and where that food comes from. A great timeout and daily practice that’s effortless.

This online experience is a real gift for all your senses and an act of love and respect towards yourself. Momo is just incredibly kind and knowledgeable; an amazing host. She made me feel comfortable from minute one (really appreciated the sounds of nature at the very beginning) and made the whole session very interactive. Mindful eating is definitely something I will be applying from now on, even if it's just for the first 2-3 bites. I can only say thank you, Momo. It was a real pleasure to meet you and an honour to chat with you and get to know more a bit this way of living.

Momo was a super host! From the second the experience started we knew it was going to be a good one...writing each of our names individually in Japanese on paper was very thoughtful and a welcoming way of inviting us into her culture to begin the experience. Post introductions, Momo educated us on some Buddhist history and the purpose of mindfulness for all things in a Zen way of life. And then the eating started! Bite by bite Momo guided us through a meditation with food (of sorts), with every morsel acting as our mantra. I was surprised to feel the benefits so quickly, and since then we have been able to incorporate some mindful eating habits into our daily lives and can really feel the difference! This is certainly an experience I’d recommend to others who want to find calm while eating and also enrich their relationship with food.
