I'm offering a pasta making course for beginners. You'll learn some simple steps that will change your pasta and meatball experience for life. Come into our newly renovated kitchen and meet the chef that will guide you through your experience. We'll start by meeting the chickens who provide the most important part of the pasta recipe. Stroll with the hens and tour the garden beds (seasonal) that produce so much for our business. Once you've gathered the eggs, come back in and learn about the difference between all purpose flour and durum semolina, why it helps to smash the dough to finish it, and how long it takes to rest. After the dough is made we'll start on the sauce. A very authentic and simple marinara that uses the best tomatoes and takes only 18 minutes to cook. While the dough and sauce are doing their thing, we'll start making the best meatballs you've ever had. Learn about the Italian flavour base called soffrito and the difference between braising and frying. While the meatballs are cooking and the sauce is bubbling, we'll roll out the dough. We have two professional rollers so everyone will get a chance to roll out some dough and cut it. When the meatballs are cooked and the sauce is seasoned, we'll drop the pasta in the water and learn how to plate like a professional. Then we'll sit down and enjoy our pasta together.
